Layou team wins four hands domino competition

The Layou Domino Team has emerged victorious in a four hands Domino Festival over the weekend.

In the competition organized by Delvin Esprit and sponsored by Mackeson Stoute and Carib Beer the Layou team defeated Tremors from Grand bay by 238 points.

The scores were Layou 1008 and Tremors 770.

On their way to victory the Layou team beat Golden Arm from Soufriere and Horsemen from Bath Estate, while Tremors on their way to the finals beat Rockers from Paix Bouche by 45 points and Dolphins from Scottshead by 10 points.

Esprit has dubbed the festival a major success. It comes at time when teams are preparing for the 2011 Mackeson Stout domino competition which is scheduled to begin after the carnival season.

The winners are expected to walk away with cartoons of Carib Beer, Mackeson Stout and a cash prize.
