London bade a flamboyant and madcap farewell to the Olympic Games with a romp through British pop and fashion, bringing the curtain down on more than two weeks of action that ended with the United States topping the sporting world with 46 gold medals.
There was another sell-out crowd at the 80,000-capacity athletics stadium in east London late on Sunday for the final act of the Games, and 300 million people were expected to tune in on televisions around the world.
Actor Timothy Spall read from Shakespeare’s “The Tempest” dressed as war-time Prime Minister Winston Churchill, and after a London “rush hour” featuring real cars and trucks, Prince Harry entered to represent his grandmother Queen Elizabeth.

Though they made a circus with luan, she was able to gain some experience.I just feel sad for the way things work in Dominica.thoes who abaused the young lady’s previlage should pay. They should be exposed.
I hope somebody find this young lady in a good programe outside of Dominica so she don’t go to waste through their political greed and tug of war.
Great olympic show hosted by GB.
Dominica was well represented,2 athletes but too many DOC officials and their wives, who were accomodated in top class hotels while the athletes were domiciled at the Olympic village,I say INVESTIGATE the DOC
Brilliant stuff I am so unhappy it has all come to an end. Looking forward to 2016 and hope so Dominicans will be participating.
Sports Minister it is about time you started pumping some finance into sports for the young. Get Dominica on the map just like the Jamaican has done. Wake up!!!!
has anyone noticed the number of black athletes which made up Team USA? What does this say about we blacks?
Jay, you win a medal too?
That we can run fast, knock people out and throw a ball? Man, I’m a human being first and black a distant second.
