Games played in the Lime National Basketball League over weekend saw mix results. The Saturday games had to be called off because of bad weather and these games had to be reschedule to a later date.
But with improve weather on Sunday the games schedule for Paix Bouche in the Domlec Premier Division and Kubuli/ Vitamalt Division 1 was able play. The games schedule were the Paix Bouche Eagles against Marigot Sonics in the Domlec Premier Division and Paix Bouche Snipers against Bense Chargers.
The results of the games saw a mix bag of success for the Paix Bouche teams playing their first home games for the season. In game one Paix Bouche Snipers edge out Bense Chargers by 2 points, the final scores Snipers 68 points to Chargers 66 points, top scorers for Snipers were Lenin Paul 18 points , David Alexis 14 points and Tyson David 13 points while Kareem Fabien 17 points, Kenroy Massicot 13 points and Daryl Thomas 10 points for Chargers.
In the main game of the evening between last years runner up Paix Bouche Eagles versus Marigot Sonics in the Domlec Premier Division saw the Eagles team disappoint their fans by going down to the Marigot Sonics 64 points to 49 points. Top scoring for the Sonics team were veteran and former national player Johnny Alfred 20 points and Kerry Christmas 19 points while in a losing effort current national player Andel George 17 points, Asher Thomas 11 points and Earl Mathew 9 points.
In addition The basketball association will be holding a referee’s workshop this afternoon from 5.00pm at the Prevo Conference facilities all persons interest in leaning the rules game and willing to assist in officiating are welcome.
Games will continue this Wednesday at the Lindo Park this week.
