Muhammad Ali, the silver-tongued boxer and civil rights champion who famously proclaimed himself “The Greatest” and then spent a lifetime living up to the billing, is dead.
According to NBC News, a family spokesman confirmed that Ali died Friday at a Phoenix-area hospital, where he had spent the past few days being treated for respiratory complications. He was 74.
So, Ali changed his name to Mandela? One man dies what about these two men?
the two do look-alike RIP
May his soul RIP. It was a lengthy battle.
simpathy to the world greatest fighter.
R.I.P. to a larger than life Real champion! one who not only move like a butterfly, and sting like a bee. A Legacy which will live for ever for one who not only talk the talk, but walk the walk, an Icon, who stand by his principles, and values, regardless of the cicumstances, That in my opinion is a true Champion in more ways than one. Those of us who dream of a lasting Lagacy has much to learn and emulate what Muhammed Alie Demonstrated throughout his life. Gone but will never be forgotton. Long live the real and true Champion!!!! ### often immitated but never Duplicated.
I love D. N. O. We work, 24/7. We never take a break.
My two heroes right there. Madiba and Cassius. Life story comparable to the greek legends. Gone are the days when life was about principle’s and resolve. Will never be forgotten.
RIP Ali ,he fought a good fight till the end ..he said he will not miss fighting ,fighting will miss him, he was so fast that he put off the light before then he was in bed before the room was dark,i like chasing girls but parkinson’s stops all that now i have a better chance to go to heaven ,if you ever dream of beating me you better wake up and apologize,Ali was never humble because he was so great..float like a butterfly sting like a bee …
A great champion in sports and life..he made his time on earth count.
We admired his boxing talents but along his lif’s journey we were also inspired by his humanity
Personally I am not into boxing. But through the years I have been aware of the man called Muhammad Ali, and his professional reputation.
I respected Mr. Ali. In his game he excelled. He may well have been the greatest. Rugged as he was in the ring outside the ring he seems to have been a true gentleman. He had good values. This man stood for solid principles. He made a difference in the right way.
No amount of worldly fame or money will get a person into heaven at the end of the journey. Jesus said
“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)
The Apostle Peter said “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
I wish the best for Muhammad Ali. If he encountered the risen Christ and received Him as his Savior before he passed I will meet him in heaven.
Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Evangelist.
Reverend Hill perhaps you do not know that Mohammed Ali was not a Christian when he died –he belonged to the religion of Islam. So I think that he is not heading to the same heaven of which you are heading–unless he changed his mind before he died.
Muhammad All: If you doing the same thing at 50 that you did at 20, you’ve wasted 30 years of your life. I agree!! I am going to make adjustment TODAY!!!
Joe Johns of CNN said of Ali’s passing, “It is a conscious choice for a sports person to be Political, Controversial or Just play the game” Ali the greatest was all of the above
RIP legend and boxing greatest.
