The Sports Division has selected two (2) teams to represent Dominica when it hosts the 2nd Annual Regional 13 & Under Netball Festival:

These two teams will play against each other and teams from Antigua and Barbuda and Anguilla in the festival scheduled for August 15 – 19, 2010 in the town of Portsmouth.
The opening ceremony will take place at the Benjamin’s Park in Portsmouth from 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 15th and will feature addresses from Sports Coordinator – Mr. Trevor Shillingford, Mayor of Portsmouth – His Worship Mr. Vernon Daniel, Parliamentary Representative for the area – Hon. Ian Douglas and Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports – Hon. Justina Charles.
Following this ceremony, the first match will take place between Dominica B and Antigua at 5:00 pm. The second match between Dominica A and Anguilla is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
The achievers will be awarded in the closing / prize-giving ceremony that will take place on Thursday 19th at 8:00 pm at the Cabrits Cruise Ship Berth.
Congratts!! to all the youth who made the team. Netball is indeed a beautiful sport. Embrace this opportunithy to represent your country, this is the begining of opportunities for you. I too remember my days when I represented DA in the Windwards Island Games In St. Lucia, very proud moments these were.
