Primary schools football semis and final on Friday

football1The semi final and final matches of the 2013 NBD Primary Schools Football Championships will take place at the Benjamin’s Park in Portsmouth on Friday (March 8, 2013)

The four top teams in the tournament will go head to head from 11:00 am to determine the 2013 NBD Primary Schools Football Champions.

San Sauveur Primary booked a spot in the semis when they beat Soufriere Primary 2 goals to nil and Goodwill Primary secured their place by defeating Grand Fond Primary 4 goals – 1. Both matches were played at the Castle Bruce earlier this week.

Meanwhile St. Joseph Jr. used their home turf advantage to clinch a 2 goals to nil victory over Roosevelt Douglas Primary  at St. Joseph. St. Luke’s Primary hosted the Delices Primary and outscored their opponents with a 8 goals to nil victory.

    This isn’t fair…. I remember the Thibaud/Dos Dane Primary School football team making it to the semi finals and the didn’t get to play in the semi finals.. This isn’t fair to our children…

    How great is primary school sports those days. I wish I was twenty years younger. I would be like Messi or Ronaldino or one of those great footballers. The sports division really seems to be ON TRACK these days with a competent staff and relevant programmes. And NBD giving support is a great think………..
