Captain Darren Sammy’s whirlwind half-century spared West Indies blushes before off-spinner Shane Shillingford struck twice late in the day to give the hosts a stranglehold on the second Test against Zimbabwe here Wednesday.

Tottering on the brink of collapse at 151 for six just after lunch, West Indies rallied to 307 all out in their first innings, courtesy of a stroke-filled top score of 73 from Sammy.

He slammed eight fours and four sixes off a mere 69 balls in an exhilarating innings.

Well People of Dominica, It’s another proud day for us in Dominica, no politics! just sweet victorious West Indies cricket!

The great Shane! but I call him Charlie! his dad’s nickname; when I was growing up! his Dad was also a champion leg spinner for the Dublanc Pelicans Cricket Club, Top Ranking & Summerset Cricket Clubs can relate, 1970s. He dragged his leg the same way upon delivery! brings goose bumps watching Shane deliver the ball!

For those of you who never new where Dublanc/Bioche was located, now you know! whether you want to know or not!

Bioche was also in the last Summer Olympics in England!

    The moral of the story?

Growing up! sporting events always was the primary focus on the Roseau Constituency! we were also made a mockery of, in school, because we were born in the Country!

Who making Dominica Proud now! Support all your people, no matter what part of your Island or Country they come from! Peace! Looking forward to more bowling success from Shane next week!

    Bring in the Zimbabweans!

I did say before the test match that you needed a 10 wicket haul. You missed it by just 1 wicket.
Well you need 11 wickets at Windsorpark. Go for it Shane. Again you are the best finger spinner in the West Indies presently, whenever we are talking TEST CRICKET.
9 test matches 38 wickets, at 37 runs a piece.
Bring the 5 wickets haul in, to bring down this average in the 20’s.
I AM WITH YOU ALL THE WAY!
