Sports Division holds follow up meeting in Bellevue

The Sports Division, in its drive to develop sports at the community level, held a follow up public meeting at Bellevue to formalize the formation of a sports committee in that community on Sunday April 3.

The meeting elected the following to the Executive:  Delbert Benjamin as President
Verlina Maximae – Secretary –; Daniel Ormond -Vice President/Treasurer, Joshua Lloyd – Assistant Secretary/Treasurer. Isiah Proctor – PRO and Committee Members: Shaun Joseph and Shervon Bellot.  A representative from the village council and the Sports Officer will complete the executive committee.

The executive will meet on Sunday April 10, to review the proposed constitution to be ratified by General Membership by June 30 and to develop a Plan of Action for the short, medium and long term.

The general objectives of the proposed constitution are;
•    To teach, encourage, promote, and develop sporting disciplines in the community.
•    To organize  the selection and management of village representative teams.
•    To manage existing facilities.

The committee is looking forward to receive support from the community to help achieve its objectives.
