Volleyball course for teachers continues this week

The Volleyball Course for Teachers got under way today (Monday April 5th) at the Saint Mary’s Academy.

Some 26 primary and secondary school teachers and Youth Sports Officers are participating in the week-long course being conducted by FIVB Instructor

Mr. Chuanlun LIU. Mr. LIU is being assisted by Level 2 Coach Marcus Blondel and Japanese volunteer coach Yosuke UNO.

The course is scheduled to end on Friday 9th April with a “volleyball festival” in which players from several schools are expected to compete, as part of the training exercise.

    waste of time. if anything its an outdoor fun experience for the teachers…but really..how many of will turn around and teach what they’ve learned during this week. how many will even be fully interested and fully participate in the course? plus…how many schools have the facilities to implement what the teachers “may” have learned?

    ok yeah we trying to get the “youth” involved in sports..but really there are no proper sports facilities on the island to encourage them to be involved. 2010 people…
