A strong tropical wave currently east of the Lesser Antilles is expected to move westward across the island chain, including Dominica, on Wednesday into Thursday.
Conditions appear conducive for moderate to heavy shower and thunderstorm activity to affect Dominica particularly from Wednesday afternoon into Thursday. Additionally, a wet pattern is forecast to linger across the area into early next week.
As a result, persons in areas prone to flooding, landslides and falling rocks are therefore being advised to be vigilant and exercise caution, particularly from Wednesday afternoon into Thursday as flash flooding is likely.
The Meteorological Service will continue to monitor the situation.
