LIME launches the new BlackBerry Pearl 3G Smartphone in Dominica

LIME Caribbean on Wednesday launched the new BlackBerry® Pearl™ 3G, the smallest BlackBerry® smartphone yet, to customers in Dominica.

Although compact in size, this elegantly designed, stylish new handset is a powerful 3G BlackBerry smartphone with uncompromising performance and top–of-the-line features, including the industry-leading BlackBerry® email and support for messaging services, like BBM™ (BlackBerry® Messenger), and social networking sites that so many customers want.

The new BlackBerry Pearl 3G smartphone is a marvel of engineering and design excellence. It’s as powerful as it is compact.  Measuring less than 50 mm wide and weighing only 93g, it still manages to incorporate support for high-speed 3G (UMTS/HSDPA) networks, Wi-Fi® (b/g/n) and GPS along with a powerhouse processor that drives visually stunning images on the sharp, high-resolution display.

Chris Dehring, Chief Marketing Officer for LIME Caribbean said: “LIME will always ensure that its customers have the latest and most efficient products to fit their lifestyles. The new BlackBerry Pearl 3G is all that and more—it is a really great looking handset.”

The new smartphone features an optical trackpad for smooth navigation, dedicated volume and media keys for added convenience, a 3.2 MP camera with flash for quality pictures on the go, and support for up to 32 GB of personal content.

The new Blackberry Pearl 3G is expected to be available at LIME stores across the island in September for as low as EC$1279!
LIME also recently announced a new lower cost BlackBerry Social Plan, which gives users access to social networking sites and BBM at a minimal rate.

What nonsense I’m I reading there.

Lime is boasting the launch of 3G Blackberry Pearl and the data service that they are offering is still that SLOW nonsense GPRS. Not even at least edge.

So on what network will we utilize the 3G capabilities now? What shameless advertising I must say.

At least some customers can purchase it and use it on the Digicel Edge Network.

When will these two service providers give us at least 3G in these days of 4G data speeds.
