The Morning Star Preschool takes action to stop bullying

Georgette Deravariere, the principal of Ĺ Ètoile du Matin Prescholaire (The Morning Star Preschool), and teachers and parents of the school have together started taking action to stop bullying.

The Ministry of Education via early childhood planning made provision for the observation of the 7th of October as Bullying Prevention Day among preschools.

Deravariere maintains that in today’s world there are so many types of bullying our children of today ,the future of our world, are being abused physically ,mentally, emotionally and verbally.

“As principal and a mother I brought up this idea to my staff: why not put the message out for all to read rather than we keep it within the school walls,” said Deravariere.

She added, “We and the PTA came together and decided we can make a difference for our children of this Beautiful Country.”

To spread the message outside the school’s walls the parents of the children commissioned a sign by R & R media paying with their own funds.

This sign is located in a highly visible location in an area which is noticeable to college children as well as primary school children and adults alike.

Derarviere reminds us that, “It’s never too late to make a change in our behavior and judgements.

She continued, “We ask for the public’s help to aid those who are weak and be brave for those who are afraid – stop the bullying it really hurts.”

This sign is located at the junction of lower Stockfarm.

Great initiative and momentum to the principal, Parents Association, management Team and Parents and comments on this good, brilliant initiative.
We need to guide, talk to our children very often, engage them in discussion, deliberately choosing a topic, planned or spontaneously that will help them engage with anyone, including parents, teachers, principals and other people in society. Good initiative in addressing bullying at that early age that they will be good citizens, well taught by good teachers who are dedicated that our young children will be safe. Good Luck teachers, continue the good wprk of taking care of our little ones, soon will be adult and contribute to the development of ur nature Isle. Amen. God`s Guidance and protection and continued prayers.
