Three Tarish Pit men namely Phillip Martin, Orel Dangler, and Yannick Valmond, are remanded into custody at the Dominica State Prison following two charges of kidnapping and robbery preferred against them by the police.
It is alleged that on August 21, 2023, Martin, Dangler, and Valmond robbed Xiaobo Jiang at Edens Lanes, Goodwill, of one pair of Jordan slippers valued at EC$65.00.
On the same day, the men are further accused of unlawfully and forcibly confining Xiaobo contrary to law.
At their Court appearance, the Tarish Pit men who are jointly charged were not required to enter a plea since both charges are indictable offences, expected to be heard at the High Court before a Judge and jury.
Martin and Dangler who were unrepresented at the hearing failed to put forward a bail application on their own behalf, whilst attorney-at-law Jodie Luke who represented Valmond requested an adjournment for her formal bail application.
The matter was adjourned to January 16, 2024, for the start of the Preliminary Inquiry.
Chinese in Dominica in such large numbers is not in Dominica’s best interest. If these people stayed in their communist country these men would not be in prison. Can you see the big picture? Its more than that I suspect: nevertheless, since lies has long taken precedent over the truth, because the Chinese command more right in the country than black people born there, and the white people who have adopted Dominica as their home, become citizens.

Why this have to be heard in the High Court and so many crimes are taking years to be heard. I am not condoning what they did. The case is till 2024. Come on what’s going in DA. They can’t even get bail for this. Why can’t they use the prisoners that cant make bail to work at the hospitals washing the old dead people clothes or cutting grass and let them see. So Dominica has a law against kidnapping? Wasn’t Danny Lugay allegedly kidnapped by the police, in his constituency a few years ago? What is this matter still doing in the court system?
What about Mehul Choksi? Wasn’t his alleged kidnapping from Antigua to Dominica involved Dominican law men as well….? So it seem like in Dominica the police can allegedly kidnap, and nothing happens?????????? If the law cannot be equally and fairly applied, why is it there on the books?
