Kitwanie Carbon is to represent Dominica.
Born on January 22nd 1996 to Swanston and Corinthia Carbon, Kitwanie attended the Convent Preparatory School, then the Convent High School.
She is presently a fifth form student who plans to obtain ones at the CXC Caribbean Secondary Education (CSEC) examinations in 2012, namely in Biology, Geography, History and Physics being her most preferred.
Kitwanie believes these subjects among others will pave the way to achieving her future aspirations of becoming a forensic anthropologist and archaeologist.
In addition she is a student of the Purple Dragon Don Jitsu Ryu System, Dominica branch as well as a grade four flautist at the Henkell Muriel Music Studio. Kitwanie embraces every opportunity to partake in adventure and exploring. She especially enjoys hiking, swimming and hopes someday to take on other exciting endeavours such as skydiving and mountain climbing.
Kitwanie considers herself an innovative thinker and believes that the best results are obtained when people work together to achieve them with determination and endurance.
It is for this reason her life’s motto is a quote by William Shakespeare – “The heights of great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight, but they whilst their companions slept kept toiling upwards in the night”.
Kitty, I’m sooooo proud of you though not completely surprised as I saw the effort, sacrifice, and prayers your parents put into raising you.
Don’t stray girl, keep the faith. Love ya

The quotation above and ascribed to Willam Shakespear really comes from a gentleman who goes by the name of H.W. Longfellow
