Can you give me your whats up address so I can send you info on multiple family members in Dominica whom I am searching for -please and thank you
Please be realistic and give the PM an opportunity for him to talk. Do not be self-centered. You are overseas. Resident D/cans do not have telecommunications. If there are people he should speak to are they. How can they hear him if there is no telephone service and internet? This is the reason he has not spoken. When communication is restored there is no doubt that he will be elated to talk to them. He will have much to say based on what occurred to D/ca, what they are going through and will go through for a long time.
We who are abroad must contend with the information provided by DNO and be thankful for it. At this point it is not necessary for the PM to talk to us.
You and I have relatives and friends in D/ca whom we are anxious to hear about. So we are all in this together. Pray for Dominicans.
You must also consider as I have thought, as the Leader of Dominica, the PM has a great burden on his shoulders. I have much empathy for him at this time.
Please, Mr. PM find a way to talk to the people. We need to hear from the you, or your public relations people.
DNO thank you for all these links you’ve been putting out. However until I hear a live voice from Dominica, especially from a person in authority our hearts will not be comforted. It is outright wrong for our PM to treat us like this. I am a very strong supporter and PM knows me personally. But wrong is wrong and I am very disappointed. PM has flown all over the country and touched ground in almost every community. By now, four days after the destruction he should have found a way to report to us in the DIASPORA. Hartley Henry is not the voice we want to hear PM! If you are too crushed to report y not have one of ur ministers or even d police PRO report to us on your behalf. PM, we hearing all kinds of reports from social media and some have said of burials that have taken place; don’t you think we are troubled and can’t sleep? This is nonsense and unacceptable. In as much as TDN / Q95 broadcasting to us, I must say they are not helping much because they hiding the facts. I’m very…
Can PM not even get hold of Vince Henderson and have him to report to us? We are being treated like little children in the dark. Florida just experienced a storm and those of us outside of Florida and even Dominica was able to see the governor and others giving updates. In our case hear NO ONE! NO VOICE! NO information. Yet the disaster coordinator in Antigua paints a very worrying picture of the disaster in Dominica and said MANY are missing! I am so upset man
Whosoever you are I agree with you completely. Some people will provide all sort of link in order to pretend they are collecting money to “help,” fact is most of them are collecting money to help their personal economics.
They are glad to collect and steal the donated money, one have to exercise caution! You will hear of all sorts of Dominica organization, that never existed, as soon as they get enough the link will be gone along with the money!
I agree with you and that’s why it is very important that you check them out I would suggest that you check and support the Dominica Associations in your area they have been around for many years reach out to them find out what they are doing. I know that in Toronto Canada they have a very strong Commonwealth of Dominica Association I was in touch with someone over there who told me there was an emergency meeting last evening and the Trade and Investment Commissioner Miss . Frances Delsol addressed the large number of Dominicans who were present . Dominica will rise again and when communication comes back every Radio station should be playing that song, We will rise again .
SMH!! My people My People. Aah boy. We seem to have zero appreciation for the situation on the ground in our country. I understand and share in your frustration. For I too is awaiting word from my brothers and other family in Dominica. But inlike you Im realistic. Not entitled.
There is an in studio interview with the PM on ABS TV Antigua posted on Facebook. I tried posting the link but DNO rejected it as spam. But just donsome good old gooling like I did.
My people this is NOT the time for this kind of bickering. As I say I clearly empathize with your frustation. But just try to appreciate what we’re dealing with here. We in the Diaspora getting info is the LEAST of the challenges facing the auhorities. I know its nerve wreckkng and dificult but lets try to keep it togethher for the sake of our beloved country and most importantly the real victims…our family, friends, fellow Citizens and other residents on the island.
God bless!!
You are indeed realistic. This should be our attitude. We are comfortable, able to eat and drink whatever we want and walk around with no inhibitions and obstacles. Our fellow Dominican residents are not so fortunate at this time. They are waiting for help. We must also pray for them.
God bless you!
Is communication back in service and if it’s not how can the PM speak to you all on the ground , just plain common sense will tell you it’s difficult for everyone including the PM. I don’t care if you support him or not put your party politic in the bin and focus on those around you who need help and try and help them until such time .Dominica is in worst shape than expected we all have to roll up our sleeves band our waist and belly and get to cleaning up to start rebuilding,. In the mean time PM have to try and reach out to the world community for help and especially to the Dominicans in the Diaspora we are all in it together .If people are putting unconfirmed information in the media you cannot hold the PM responsible for that, So during the day if you are in Dominica is their anything stopping you from going around or teaming up with the Village Council where you a to see what they a doing and lend a helping hand too.
