UWI’s Eighth Global Reggae Conference kicks off Vice-Chancellor’s Forum

Today, Wednesday, February 14th, marks the commencement of the UWI Vice-Chancellor’s Forum, an integral segment of the Eighth Global Reggae Conference (GRC2024) hosted by the esteemed University’s Institute of Caribbean Studies and the Reggae Studies Unit.

Running through till February 17th, the Global Reggae Conference (GRC2024) unfolds as a pivotal component within a comprehensive initiative delving into music, popular culture, and the discipline of Reggae Studies, spearheaded by the collaborative efforts of the Institute of Caribbean Studies and the Reggae Studies Unit.

This triennial gathering, now in its eighth iteration, embraces a broad spectrum of academic perspectives and methodologies, inviting scholars from diverse fields to partake in its discourse and contribute to the enrichment of the global conversation surrounding reggae and its cultural significance.
