VIDEO: A Venezuelan’s perspective on the Venezuelan crisis

“There’s far too much misinformation and oversimplification about the situation in Venezuela. Trust me, it isn’t that simple,” says YouJoanna Hausman.

3 questions. Who is this woman and where does she reside? was this production sponsored by any private organisations or entities. Asking because some of the information and the tone of this woman at times seems biased.

It is biased towards freedom and democracy…… So what. There is no excuse for dictators and dictatorships.

Call Trump and tell him to lift the economic sanctions the US has against Venezuela, release the Venezuelans assets that they have frozen. While you are at it ask him to impose sanctions against Saudi Arabia for its many human rights violations and lack of free and fair elections. You see the US cannot touch Saudi Arabia because it is in their national self interest, even though this oil rich country continue to violate human rights including the killing of journalist.

@Anon at no point will America be innocent. Any country picks it’s battles. Like i have said there has always been a struggle for world dominance. I have never said here the US is a saint. The fact is the stupid socialist government in Venezuela is the cause of its problem. The US is using tools to force an opressive regime out maybe they are right maybe the are wrong in doing that. If Saudi Arabia love thier way of life fine. Unlike Venezuela all saudi born people are wealthy and the state take care of its people. You dont jear shortage of food or med or poverty amoung Saudis. The larger problem is there are world powers in juxtaposition to show thier might. That is tbe elephant in the room. No system is perfect. Do you want a dictatorship system or you want a democratic system free of egomanics. I am in favor of a new leader every 6 years. 8 years is too long.

I support truth no matter who it comes from. Anon and I may not agree on much on the domestic front but I’m in full agreement with him on Venezuela. The US foreign policies are self serving and inconsistent. They don’t care one iota about the Venezuelan people. Just look at how they treat the same Central and South Americans at their southern border. Which other country separates children from their parents, some of them just months old, and locked them away in cages? Always listen to both sides, weigh the information, then come to a logical conclusion. Don’t be swayed by one person’s biased perspective.

When it’s government propaganda nobody ever asks what the source. You can easily find out who she is – go to the youtube link and look at her other videos. Also she most likely lives outside of Venezuela like a large number of venezuelans right now (at least 3 million). And why would anyone need a sponsor for a simple youtube video?

The information she is getting is from being VENEZUELAN. I don’t know how that just flies over people’s heads. It’s like if a dominican started talking about what’s happening in Dominica and then some idiot comes and asks “who is this person, who sponsors them, where are they gettintg their information from”

You all will find it hard to understand because you never had to live or experience a single minute of this crisis. So when the people who actually have to endure this nightmare speak out the least you can do is listen and at least TRY to understand.

Thanks for sharing DNO. I hope we as HUMAN BEING first, and as Dominicans second, can rise up, speak out and stand in solidarity with our fellow HUMAN BEINGS in Venezuela. This is awful, and it must STOP!

    • January 31, 2019

What are you thanking DNO for? DNO only shared half the story there is another production that speaks to the other side of the story. This production is all about US propaganda against the Venezuelan regime. If it is not a US back coup why did the US so quickly recognized a man who declared himself president of Venezuela with no constitutional authority.

Any body else worried about the trend in Dominica towards that direction?
Opposition leader being persecuted to ensure he is out of the way come election?
    People tear gassed for demonstrating?
Government on a witch hunt to disqualify opposition members from taking part in elections?
Infiltration of various systems including judicial system, police and media to submit to the will of the DLP?

Folks if it walks like a manicou, looks like a manicou and sounds like a manicou it is a manicou!

Continue….. I say this because the instability is exploited by wolves in sheep clothing. It is sad that at this point the US has the worst President ever and for Russia and China it is the best chance they got. This has happened with Castro before. Meanwhile we have a leader in Dominica who was invited to Russia because of our weakness and lack of principle. Beggars are easily exploited. Ignorance is easily exploited and a man who is hungry for power and wealth will sell his country to the devil. Dominica has been sold to the devil, Dominica has been sold to the devil. Why is Russia not bringing food, medicine, aid to the Venezuelan people. Instead they bring weapons of war. The lies and propaganda making all sorts of story about why the country has crippled when it is thier own zealous actions. When we forget history it is bond to be repeated. Human basic rights and freedom to think, work, earn, create for themself must be protected. Some will pay dearly.

Russia is alleged to taking 20 tons of gold from Venezuela’s central bank – imagine that?

I should not say Russia took it – Maduro is moving financial assets (20 tons of Gold) and Russia is facilitating the process. All of this while the people are on their knees, hungry and sick, tired, …

DNO like i have said before there are men who see themselves as gods and the lust for power and wealth. Maduro, Putin, Hitler, Trump, Skerrit et al. They belive they alone have the solutions and use thier charisma to advance themselves. Russia specifically Vladimir Putin was mad that the Soviet union broke up while he was a KGB officer on assignment. He cunningly push himself to the top. Same style like skerrit and all those kinds of creatures. He will exploit every western nation to get to the belly of the US so he supports maduro not because of love for Venezuelan people but to flex thier own global ambitions. The US is no different but has a different political structure. How many westindians or latin Americans can go to Russia or china build a home raise a family, send for thier family send back money to thier families home, get a good paying job, open a business become doctors layers and even politicians. This folks are as racist as it gets. They will support dictators because

Why are you using this issue to make jabs at Trump? If anything it’s because of Trump that there is even any hope of resolving this situation. One of the key countries who may have a hand in solving this crisis is Brasil and they just elected a more conservative leader who is almost a mirror image of Trump – striking another blow to the leftist take over of the south american continent.

Many people are saying that the wave of right wing sentiment created by Trump’s election had a lot to do with Bolsonaro’s rise. Meanwhile the anit-US socialist propagandists are trying to smear Bolsonaro as “fascist” just like what they did to Trump.

You’re being duped my friend by all the fake news and MSM crap. Just look at the agenda of the people AGAINST Trump:
      – pro socialism
      – pro LGBT
      – anti-christian
      – anti-conservative
      – pro abortion

Ask yourself which of those things you support and then tell me if you shouldn’t be supporting Trump instead of bashing him all the time.
