I applaud her on the app’t. but it seems the British plant her there to accomplish some things like tying aid to support for gays (mark you, I doe mind lesbians at all) which her predecessor didn’t want to do the dirty work for them. Be prepared, she will soon spring the gay stuff on the salivating PM. Be prepared, Vince has already alerted us to that coming when Crispin frowned on that requirement. Be very afraid! Our daughter, but planted by the British so that there won’t be complains about such things as special tax on Brits traveling to the Caribbean for instance. . Be very afraid!

I don’t like the many comments about the lady. You may not like PM Skerrit but that does not mean you should pass it on her,She has an illustrious career it’s a fact .I noticed people are commenting on her position on this abomination (sodomy), to me that is legitimate. But on the other things, we are stretching the joke too far.You have nothing good to say? OK,no one forced you to sing her praises, but declaring her persona non grata in her own country.?
Jesus once said “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and his own house.”

She was convicted in a U.K. court and fined £5000 for breaking a law she herself passed as the AG of the country. That pissed off a lot of the Caribbean diaspora in the U.K. and particularly those of Dominican origin like myself.

Congratulations Baroness Scotland on your appointment. Having said that It anticipated that your appointment can help DA
To get back on its feet. Let us put politics aside and welcome Ms Scotland.

TJ the lady have 53 countries to handle what do you expect her to do for you the British wanted her to win not to help the Caribbean Islands to get back on their feet but to pressure them to change their laws in Banking and also homosexual laws and others to come if they agree they will receive funding from England, remember PM Skerrit was the one who was pushing for her she went thru the question now how is he going to deal with homosexuality on the Island because the door that you and others wanted closed is now open.. I guess we all have to wait to see what happens next.

      Good question.
She was on British SKY TV and with the flag of the Dominican Republic showing the background.
Many Dominicans in the UK are still upset.
Last minute she was deliberately posted as some kind quasie Ambassador to raise relief money.
The issue is not really the Baroness, you see, Show me your company I tell you who you are. Go ask Skerrit

If I were a boggarer I would sure look for a same sex partner and make sure we are well hugged and our placard of VICTORY holding up, as we go to the airport to welcome our our chief fighter to be.

what is her contribution to the people of Vieille Case and Dominica on a whole? What about naming the school after Vernice Bellony, Mr Sorhaindo Etc. What about the persons in the Diaspora who have contributed all the had for the people and towards the people of VieilleCase. Honestly, Dominicans stand up especially Vielle Case people.

    This is so unbelievable

I agree, Vernice Bellony has stood up, hgeaded the Local Govenment Derpt as LOcal Government Commissioner, she represented, laboured for the Vielle Case, Thibaud and Penville People and they take a woman from far and name a school after her. How insulting
I guess Mrs Vernice Bellony does not sell passport.
      Vernice we love you more

And all the while they feting people have to go to Delices and Boetica in a wooden box pulling on a rope that is sagging deeper every day and friends of eh P.M. pouring concrete in a bottomless hole to make their profit. Well, is so the Roman empire came to an end and history will always repeat itself. People drinking champagne on the deck of the Titanic while the ship goes down. Fools, all of them. One-day butterflies.

What happen to your place of birth! ST. JOSEPH, After your parents retired they moved right back to your place of birth? I am disappointed in both the PM and Kleve. Having seen hopelessness, frustrations and hardships Ms. Scotland would be a true inspiration and role model our youths. Just like all the other intellectuals and prominent business people who were born and educated in St. Joe, now it is became a thorn in their flesh or stigma. To many of us we a proud of who we are, and will try to change that perception. The irony to this they all ask for their final resting place to be WHERE? It is a shame to see how the people of St. Joseph rallied behind your nomination and now we are no where on your radar. SHAME ON THE PM., SHAME ON THE FORMER PRESIDENT, SHAME TO KELVA,

So is another pappy show to divert the people’s attention away from their misery? There is no airport that is legally called Douglas Charles. Skerrit thumping hias nose at everyone and the Baroness in cahoots with him.

“Let them eat cake” supposedly spoken by “a great French princess” Marie Antoinette, in the 1770s upon learning that the peasants had no bread. The quote would reflect the princess’s disregard for peasants.
Fast forward to Dominica today with Skerrit, Savarin Alix Boyds –Knight and the rest-no work, no development but let’s welcome a Baroness with all the cake and music and high dinners. -So Skerrit’s and Scotland’s attitude is let them eat cake……t Good decision Mr. Linton—don’t participate in this cake eating and picture taking fake business while our country is sinking. Kids have no milk and men and women have no work.
