A ridge pattern is expected to remain dominant across the area during the next 12 hours. This together with a layer of dust haze is expected to result in a relatively dry atmosphere during the evening. A significant increase in dust haze concentration is expected tonight into Thursday evening, resulting in a reduction in visibility and air quality. People with respiratory sensitivities are advised to take the necessary precautions to avoid complications. Meanwhile, a pre-frontal trough is expected to approach the area tomorrow increasing the chances for shower activities by afternoon.
Moderate seas with northerly swells peaking near 7ft are expected to continue throughout the evening. A further increase to peak near 8ft is expected tomorrow. A high surf advisory and a small craft warning are in effect for above-normal seas and breaking wave action along the coasts. Residents, small craft operators and sea bathers especially along the northern, western and southern coasts should be on the alert and exercise extreme caution.
