Unstable conditions are expected to continue to generate cloudiness with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms across portions of the island chain during most of today, according to this morning’s 6:00 o’clock weather advisory from the Dominica Meteorological Service.
Thereafter, by tonight into Monday, a tropical wave is expected to generate an increase in cloudiness with shower activity which could be moderate to heavy at times and isolated thunderstorms across the island chain, including Dominica. Unstable conditions are projected to linger into early Tuesday.
People in areas prone to flooding, landslides and falling rocks are advised to exercise caution mainly during the morning and during tonight into Monday.
Meanwhile, another tropical wave located in the Central Tropical Atlantic is being monitored for development and is expected to approach the area by Thursday.
Residents are advised to closely monitor information on the progress of this tropical wave.
Moderate seas are expected during the next 24 hours with waves peaking near 7.0 feet.
That’s what I don’t get you know. We are still in the hurricane season, infact we are now in that dangerous part of the season and instead of Skerrit getting busy to ensure that Dominicans are safe and have a place to shelter, should we have a storm or hurricane, somehow Skerrit finds it more important to go persecute and arrest the opposition and spend money everywhere trying to buy votes instead of building shelters for the people of Dominica. As a fellow villager of Vieille case like Skerrit, I am concerned about the entire Vieille case constituency, particularly about Thibaud because Skerrit because of hate for the people of Thibaud he decided to demolish their school which was their shelter and left the people in danger should we have a storm. We talking about a school built by EO Leblanc in the ,70’s and it’s 7 years now since he did that wickedness to Thibaud people, just like he did to Marigot and BAWI people.
