A high pressure system has established itself across the area. However, patches of low level clouds moving with the wind flow is expected to result in occasional cloudiness and a few passing showers during the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, according the a 6:00 p.m. weather advisory from the Dominica Meteorological Service, a tropical wave located over the Tropical Atlantic has a low chance of development over the next five days.
The Met Office says that this system should approach the Lesser Antilles by the beginning of next week producing an increase in cloudiness with shower activity and possible isolated thunderstorms across the area.
Residents are advised to keep updated on the progress of this tropical wave.
Moderate seas are expected during the next 24 hours with waves peaking near 8.0 feet. Small craft operators and sea bathers, particularly on the east coast, should exercise caution.
