WEATHER (6:00 AM, June 9): Scattered showers, possible thunderstorms expected during next 24 hours

Weak unstable conditions are expected to maintain cloudiness with a few scattered showers and possible isolated late afternoon thunderstorms across the island chain during the next 24 hours. Thereafter, a high pressure system is expected to regain dominance across the area. Dust haze together with breezy conditions are expected to persist across the island chain over the next few days.

Moderate seas are anticipated during the next 24 hours with waves peaking near 8.0ft. A Small Craft Advisory remains in effect for above normal seas along the east coast. Small craft operators and sea bathers, particularly on the east coast, are advised to exercise caution.
