WOW! Manje kweyol an Gwadloup

On Kweyol Day every year, many Dominicans overseas express their appreciation of that aspect of our culture in various ways. The following photos depict a mouth watering array of creole dishes prepared by Dominicans in Guadeloupe this year.

For Dominicans living in the USA, do like I do. Whenever I come to DA I always go back to the US with some roasted, scraped breafruit nicely wrapped in foil. Store them in your freezers and when you’re ready heat them up in your ovens. Prepare the usual salt fish, smoked herring etc and voila. I had my local DA dish on Kweyol Day and will be having some more on Nov. 3rd.

I’m a Dominican, but live in the USA. U all are making me hungry. But don’t worry, I’m hoping to be there next year to have some fun and bring some money to the economy by supporting as much local things as I can. No other country can compete with Nature Island fresh and Organic foods. Please Dominican eat what we grow, Fast food taste good, but there is no nutrition and lots of sickness, including diabetes, high blood preasure, cancer. We need to stay healthy. To have a productive country, we need healthy people. I’ve been living in the USA for years, but I eat all my Caribbean foods. I don’t eat fast food, ’cause I know better, ’cause I’m in the medical field and see what bad diets do to the body. Stay HEALTHY, LOVE.

Nice! What a pity, the crab callaloo, black pudding and titiri accra are missing. That would have completed the creole variety for me.
