[Press Release] BIG W headline sponsor for national chess tournament

BIG W is pleased to announce its partnership with the Dominica Chess Federation in its 2023 Annual National Tournament. As the federation’s headline sponsor in this tournament, we feel gratification in knowing that as a company we are making a vital contribution to a growing sporting activity in Dominica. Through this tournament, the Dominica Chess Federation has promoted the development of chess in all age groupings, ranging from children to senior citizens.

BIG W opened its doors on February 4, 2023. As the newest business unit of H.H.V Whitchurch & Co. Ltd., it operates on the same community-oriented values as its parent company. As such, we are truly invested in contributing to all areas of community development, which in this case is the development of the social and sporting sectors. We commend the Dominica Chess Federation for their efforts so far and wish them continued success in their endeavors. BIG W and H.H.V Whitchurch & Co. Ltd. by extension will continue to assist where possible and invite other corporate entities to do the same.
