    Why waste time and money??? The Womens U20 football team just embarrassed by Guyana 10-0. We just don’t have the population, financial resources, sports facilities or proper coaching to be competive on a team level.

    Yes Athanaze and Hodge are top flight cricketers but those two players are the exception to the rule.

      @ Can’t call it
      What do you mean by “top flight” cricketers? You mean they are comparable to IVA Richards, BC Lara, Tendulkar, Bradman, Ponting, Javed Miandad, Kholi, Greg Chappell, Sangakara, etc, etc, etc
      Those two cricketers have promise, but together have ZERO test matches. So i am concerned with the term “top flight” . Other than that i thumbed up the comment.

        MEME, the two are top flight on the regional level in light of a very bare West Indies cupboard of players. Right now they rank as hamburger meat compared to the prime rib hall of fame players you referenced!!!

    We should be very pround of who we as a people and strive to show our pedigree. We are not normal people. We speak the richest language in the world; English, we speak the first black republic language krewol.We are one of the few countries to have the Caribs.There is no where in the world that has this unique diversity.We should use it cause that’s who we are. Show our class from this time year and forever.We should unite and not be divisive.

    And how many people we sent to the Olympic Games again? …….and I don’t include those ridiculous skiers ( you remember, the ones that practiced on the slopes of Morne Diablotin).

    I raise my eyebrow. As far as I know Russia is not an Alba member, so why is this country participating in the Alba. Why not invite Ukraine for the same non-reason. I also note the relative large delegation, in excess of 100, from our own country and presume this means they will be transported by a plane from Venezuela direct to Caracas, which begs the question why we need an new international airport if the Melville Hall field is capable of accommodating such flights.

      @Pipo
      Why would you like to stiffle the growth and development of Russian athletes? Are they less human then others? You should learn to separate politics and hate from sports!!
      You all guys need to chill out a little and let young people positively exert their energies in a productive way. Would you like to see a Russia or Venezuela or Iran or China where the youths are banned from sports? Really?
      Stuppesssssssss
      Garcon chill out and if you can help the young prople!
      Enough of that backward mentality on this piece of rock called Dominica.

      If you were up to speed with worldy happenings, you would have know that both Venezuela and Russia are sanctioned by the evil United States. Then you would have had an answer to your own question.
