Press Release: Rianna Patterson successfully crowdfunds over £20,000 to pursue a master’s degree in dementia at UK University

Rianna Patterson

Dementia Activist Rianna Patterson, 25, will pursue a master’s degree in Dementia: Causes, Treatments and Research at University College London (UCL) this September in London, England. Ms. Patterson founded the Dominica Dementia Foundation at the age of 18 in memory of her grandfather, who passed away when she was 16 years old. Rianna completed an associate’s and bachelor’s degree in psychology. Ms.Patterson was also the recipient of the Queen’s Young Leader award.

Rianna launched a crowdfunding campaign (#SendRiri2UCL) on the 3rd of March 2023 on GoFundMe. She submitted and contacted a number of potential donors directly, as well as launched several initiatives to raise the funding necessary to pursue her course, including public speaking engagements, and client work, including filmmaking and editorial services. Rianna also attained multiple scholarships towards her degree from funding bodies and from the psychiatry department at UCL. Rianna successfully raised £20,677 through crowdfunding.

Ms.Patterson hopes that this master’s degree will provide a solid foundation to continue the work of the Dominica Dementia Foundation and secure a position as a senior researcher in dementia.

Rianna expressed her deep gratitude to God for guiding her through a challenging season that strengthened her faith in ways she cannot fully express. She felt overwhelmed with emotion as she reflected on her journey, which presented many obstacles. However, by relying on God’s grace, Rianna succeeded in securing bookings to deliver keynote speeches, selling her film for £25, and promoting her crowdfunding campaign using a robust marketing strategy. She acknowledged that God’s wisdom and provisions played a critical role in her success. Rianna also expressed her appreciation for her mentors and all those who contributed to and shared her campaign, praying that God would remember them.

“I want to address those who are striving to make their dreams a reality. It’s important to keep God at the centre of your pursuits and trust that He will take care of the rest. I hope that my story will inspire our generation to seek God’s guidance and never lose hope,” stated Ms. Patterson.

More like her will eventually come around; our nation needs more like her!

The idea that she did not sit back, and stress: I waiting on de government for a scholarship proves that she is exceptional; and the beauty of her mind not to chose China, nor Cuba as a her place of study.

Unless she is endowed with that gift, she will have to study hard; it will be difficult; I suppose she knows that, and that makes me believe she will succeed!

I wish here all the very best in her studies, and in the future; she is an example to our youths: Politics should not be the alternative for the youths of our nation!

This is a feel he story amid the turbulence and decadence gripping the country. I wish this young, phenomenal lady the greatest success in her pursuit to achieving her goal to become a senior researcher in dementia. May God’s generous blessings be with her.

Main causes: Heavy metal toxicity and parasites, with variations of a toxic metabolic state which eventually leads to disintegration of metabolic process’ and faculties in the body. Avoid sugar, gmo wheat, white flour, alcohol, and pesticides/herbicides in the diet. Ring a bell DA?

Annon where you got such information from? You know to fully understand dementia; one have to understand psychiatric also. And so prior to me detail some of what I know about dementia, I will give you a hint: psychiatric syndromes; how frequently the various syndromes occur is difficult to even estimate, because they cannot be sharply differentiate and often merge into one another: I don’t know if this will table below.

      Syndrome Percent
      Simple dementia 34.0%
      Euphoric dementia 29.0%
      Expansive type 10.0%
      Hypomanic form 0.5%
      Depressive Form 7.0%
      Delirious, and confessional state 11.0%
      Motor excitement 5.5%
      Schizophrenic 3.0%
All of this here: “Avoid sugar, gmo wheat, white flour, alcohol, and pesticides/herbicides in the diet. Ring a bell DA?” has absolutely no relevance to dementia; since there are different types of dementia!

So, as far as I learn dementia is an organic mental syndrome characterized by a general loss of intellectual abilities involving impairment of memory, judgment, and abstract thinking as well as changes in personality. It dose not include a loss of intellectual functioning caused by clouding of consciousness, as occurs in delirium, nor that caused by depression or some other functional mental disorder such as “pseudode-mentia.”
Dementia may be caused by a large number of conditions, some reversible; and some progressive, that cause widespread cerebral damage or dysfunction. The most common cause is Alzheimer’s disease; others are cerebrovascular disease “multi-infarct dementia,” central nervous system infection, brain trauma or tumors, pernicious anemia, folic acid deficiency, Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome, normal-pressure hydrocephalus, and neurological disease such as Huntington’s chorea, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease.
I doh is doctor so I leave out treatment…
