Public Consultations on electoral reform continue this week for groups and associations; and at the community level in
Portsmouth, Castle Bruce and Wesley.
Representatives of religious organizations, trade unions, the media, sports associations, youth organizations, business groupings, NGOs; and groups representing women, the elderly and Persons with Disabilities will meet on Monday, August 21 at the State House Conference Center from 7pm.
Community consultations begin on Tuesday, August 22 at the American Canadian School of Medicine in Picard, Portsmouth. Sessions continue on Wednesday, August 23 at the Regional Emergency Center in Castle Bruce and on Thursday, August 24 at the North East Comprehensive School from 6 pm.
Members of the public can also submit written comments on the Sir Dennis Byron Electoral Reform Report and draft legislation to [email protected].
I hope the message from the so-called sham consultations is pellucid by now. The dishonest hardliners of the Star Boy of Stupidity are ensuring that the corrupted system will remain firmly intact.
Boycott all the other sessions put on by these hoodlums and take your grievances to the streets in a massive show of people’s power. Only the collective will and power of the people will turn the direction of the country from its archaic and criminal state to one of shared prosperity.
