Well, let us pray that this doesn’t happen to us in Dominica. Let us pray that the 3 who remain infected will be recovered and that God will decide to set us free from that strange cage that we are living in at this moment. We dearly need some of His love through mercy and compassion.

I thought the St.Lucians were bit too quick announcing to the world that they were virus free without the evidence of a comprehensive community testing program, the result which would have been a lot more accurate. the danger of trying to show to the world that you are on top of this pandemic is that people can become very complacent and unwittingly cause more infections which could result in deaths. I think the governments of these smaller islands with such small populations should exercise a more measured approach in releasing data and don’t try and impress others, rather than continuing to do the things that are helping their people keep safe from this virus – Social distancing, face covering, hands washing, adequate PPE for frontline health workers and testing! testing! testing!

They did not say they were Covid-19 free. They said that all known cases had recovered. St Lucians know the battle is far from over.

Lucian have a much more sensible approach where face mask and social distances are promoted, their curfew is 5am to 7pm 7 days a week. Dominica’s boots on your neck Taliban approach have done nothing more than what social distancing and face mask alone would have done. All we in Dominica have is health officials and police terrorizing the population locking them down every weekend with no financial help, that is itself inhumane. St Lucia population is 2-3 times Dominica population so with all Dominica draconian measures she still have a higher rate than St Lucia and St Lucia covid cases seems to recover faster, probably because St lucians are not living in the fear.
