The Saint Mary’s Academy Class of 1974/75 Reunion Organizing Committee extends its deepest appreciation to all alumni, sponsors, and partners whose generosity, participation, and support made the SMA 50th Anniversary Reunion Celebration an extraordinary success.
Held from October 11–19, 2025, the reunion brought together generations of SMA men from across Dominica and the diaspora for a week of reflection, reconnection, and purpose. From the Night of Reflection to the Educational Forum and the unforgettable SMA Old Boys’ Concert, every event was executed with excellence and embraced by the public with enthusiasm and pride.
The Committee expresses special thanks to:
• Alumni at home and abroad whose presence, donations, and encouragement turned this reunion into a true celebration of brotherhood.
• Corporate and community sponsors, whose financial and in-kind support ensured the success of every event.
• Performers, production teams, and volunteers whose artistry, dedication, and service brought the reunion to life.
• The UWI Global Campus, for hosting the Educational Forum, a discussion that generated real, actionable ideas for advancing education in Dominica.
• Media partners including DBS Radio, Kairi FM, DNO, TDN, Q95, EMO NEWS, PUSHPAST 10 Media and other local outlets for providing invaluable coverage and helping spread the message of unity and purpose.
“This reunion reminded us that SMA is more than a school, it’s a legacy of leadership and service that continues to shape Dominica,” said Alvin Thomas, Reunion Chair. “We are deeply grateful to every alumnus and sponsor who made this possible.”
Committee member Joseph Guiste added, “This was a collective achievement, a testament to what happens when purpose meets passion. Our sponsors, alumni, and community came together to make history, and we are forever thankful.”
Proceeds from the reunion will support the restoration of the Egbert Germain Wing of St. Mary’s Academy, ensuring that the next generation of students continues to benefit from the institution’s proud tradition of excellence.
The Reunion Committee expresses its continued commitment to building on this momentum through future initiatives that will benefit both SMA and the wider Dominican community.
kudos to Alvin Thomas and the rest of the planning committee for such visionary thinking, faith and extraordinary perseverance in realising this historic and epic reunion. reconnection with fellow grads, some after half a century, was for me the defining and most unforgettable aspect of it all. The Father’s blessings be upon you guys.
