[Statement] Showdown Mas Camp has called off its Tent #4

The Showdown Mas Camp Tent #4 carded for tonight Friday, February 3, 2023, has been put off.

The fact that the Semi-Finals are on the following night–Saturday–and the financial challenges at this time to support and attend these events have influenced our decision to call off the Tent for tonight.

We would like to encourage as many persons as possible to attend the Semi-Finals on Saturday, February 4, 2023.

The Tent will continue on Friday, February 10, 2023, and the Champ of the Camp will take place on Thursday, February 16, 2023.

The Showdown Mas Camp looks forward to increased attendance at its remaining Tents which we anticipate will happen as the Carnival gets closer.

    Will DNO be publishing reminders and links for Showdown Mas Camp? I didnt even know one was scheduled for this weekend? Many people not home want to watch and participate in all Dominica events when we cant be home

    Someone comment about the lyrical content didn’t help.the artists are intelligent people and if they choosing to sing about subjects that make senior people uncomfortable so be it.its sad that they have press conferences in DA and none of the press ask uncomfortable questions.
