The Love One Teach One Foundation Inc. received a donation of a All-In-One PC and a cheque for $2,500.00 which was presented to members of the Foundation from Sugar George Inc. on Saturday May 8th, 2021. The contribution is to assist the commencement of a Mini Library Project in the community of Silver Lake which will help the children and adults from the community and environs.
“This donation presented we expect will promote a better sense of community along with the importance of literacy and those are two important reasons we became involved in the initiative” said Mr. Ian Edwards, Founder of Sugar Geroge Inc.
“As part of our “Volunteer to Read” activity we will be partnering with different Community stakeholders, members of the “Youth for Success” youth group and the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force – Community Policing Programme who will be assisting the youth with their reading and homework.” “We are appreciative of the kind donation which will be used to complete this project and extend a big thank you to Sugar George Inc.” said Ms. Gloria Walsh, Director of The Love One Teach One Foundation Inc.
Congrats Sugar George. Good to see you contributing to your roots. Keep up your efforts to make a positive difference in the lives of the children.
I wish more passport sellers would do more for the respective communities like how Tranquility Beach does. So much can be done here with all their money and contacts. There is nothing of social value for the youth to be engaged in. On a friday afternoon where do young boys and girls go that is safe and free from negative factors (drugs, alcohol, predatory adults)?
the vibes they had in Salisbury beach during xmas was welcomed, even though people stole the generators to power the lights. they also provided Mellisa with the statues for the promenade. Can they work on bringing us an amusement park (doesnt have to be big) with rides and games, something like coney island in the 80’s.
