Ted Daley, legendary Dominican media personality of over four decades, has passed.
According to reports from friend and colleague Leroy “Wadix” Charles, Daley’s wife relayed that he suffered a cut which became infected and resulted in a diabetic coma.
Speaking fondly of Daley in an audio statement, Charles went on to describe his extensive career, characterizing his specialties as the “most diverse musical repertoire with engaging, stimulating, and tantalizing lyrics, fused with humor and infectious laughter. He possessed an impeccable memory and could remember the names and numbers and number plates like a computer.”
He also acknowledged that Ted Daley had taken an active role in his career, and gave him the infamous moniker “Wadix”.
Reportedly known for his sports genius, Daley was an enthusiast across various genres, and eventually collaborated with Ozzy Lewis, hosting a sports program entitled Sports Interaction on DBS Radio.
His personal philosophy was that one should embrace a stress-free attitude to life, and understand that life owes you nothing, Charles recalled.
“He was a proud man who settled for no nonsense. And he’ll be severely missed by myself and the thousands. He filled the hearts with joy and laughter,” said Charles.
DNO extends our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and well-wishers on his passing.
When i was a kid I would listen to the radio when bosom buddy was at the microphone 🎤. Journey well, take your place at the table of angels.
An iconic radio entertainer of the 70’s. His laugh was the main aspect of his radio personality. (Ba-ga-la ga!!!) One of his favourite lines on the Ted Daily show. I never knew what it meant but it was very catchy. Rest in peace Ted Daily. The loss of another national treasure.
May his soul rest in eternal peace!!

That iconic laugh still has me laughing and not wanting to go to bed but instead listen to uncle Ted. Heaven has gained another great DJ and radio broadcaster. Condolences to acquaintances, friends and family.
