The Dominica Nurses Association wishes to place on record its objection to our colleague, Mrs. Annette Sandford being referred to as a “drumstick” in Dominica’s Parliament in September 27,2023.
This gross lack of respect to one nurse can be regarded as disrespect to nurses, Kalinago women and all women by extension. It is shameful to stand among so many other female colleagues and speak ill of another female, let alone in the presence of the new President-elect who is also a Kalinago woman. Women are a force to move mountains and this is further manifested by we having created history in electing a female President. Furthermore, at a time when the nursing profession in Dominica is under immense pressure due to high nurse-patient ratios and other factors in the workplace this statement can only serve to undermine the morale of our hard working nurses.
In this regard, we are calling on the Attorney General to extend a public apology to Mrs. Sandford. This is a sad time in our history and we hope it is never repeated by anyone.
The Dominica Nurses Association takes this opportunity to congratulate Nurse Annette Sandford for having been identified as a Presidential nominee. You have made us proud and we wish you well in your future endeavors.

So now Bwa-Banday is a Kalinago living in the LAB in Mahaut.She violated Section 21(2) of the constitution,when she accepted the nomination and did not resign or retire.That is wilfull and calculated dishonesty planned and executed by UWP,with the intention of dividing the Kalinago people.The opposition knew she was in breach of Section 21(2) of the constitution,yet they went ahead and voted her 5-20.That is the height of corruption.Those comments DNO will not post.I am asking myself why didn’t nominate a UWP Jacka like Lennox Linton or Matt Peltier.We will not allow libel incitement or violence,that is when it is NOT directed at Skerrit and supporters of the DLP.Anette Sanford name should not even be mentioned in Parliament on September 27 2023 because she was not qualified to be President under Section 21(2) of the constitution.

So when we have a head of state that is political and already showing that she is Skerrit’s president to do his dirty work, an attorney general that behaves like a dirty dog committed to do Skerrit’s bidding, a house speaker that is very bias and there to protect Skerrit in his corruption; a police commissioner and police department that will do everything to protect Skerrit and his corruption, an election commissioner that only cares about keeping Skerrit in office, magistrates and judges that will do everything to keep Skerrit in office, where the hell you think we going? Who will help us? Do we even stand a chance of saving this country? We are lost, lost, lost and sorry but seems like more crime and bloodshed will…

It’s a pattern for members of the Skerrit Labour Party (SLP), to degrade, vilify and denigrate opposition women with impunity….Unless women from all corners of Dominica stand and ask those rascals to stand down as unfit and disgraceful ministers and leaders the insult will not end.
There’s a saying that it’s better to remain silent and be thought of as being intelligent than to open your mouth and remove any doubt that you are a fool. How can Dominica be plagued with so many incompetent and classless and clueless people in high places? This guy, Levi Peter, went to school but he’s uneducated not to have known that the world was listening to this historic activity. Also when the country is having it’s first woman being elected as President. he puts his foot in his mouth and denigrates another woman who was nominated for the highest post in the country. NO relenting this time around. I call on all my kaligono people, men, women and children to join the protest action against Levi. Skerrit just placaded us by giving us Sylvanie as president yet his cabalist has disrespected us in the same vain. These people believe we are stupid. Levi would never have repeated that in the highest court of the land if he was not comfortable.
It tells me that’s how they regard us Kalinagos in private yet put on a smily face in public around us. Cozier, Casius and others I am looking forward to you all joining the protest until Levi is gone. Better yet, let me see if the same Sylvanie has the nuts to fire Levi because she has the power in her hands. If all else fails we reserve the right to shutdown the territory until further notice.
