The Executive Director and founder of the Kalinago Child Support Foundation, Mrs. Amanda Theodore Langlais spoke to DNO about the Foundation’s goals and objectives. According to her, “our focus is to mold our vulnerable Kalinago children into proactive and competent individuals. In addition, we want to inspire, develop, educate, strengthen, and nurture our children, so they may grow into respectable, dynamic individuals who can make a difference in our society”.

Honoring their mission, a Christmas Party was hosted for children all over the Territory. It was a pleasure to see parents interacting with their children and parents interacting with parents. It was truly a family get-together. Mrs. Theodore-Langlais attributed the success to the many sponsors who came on board this year and to the parents who willingly volunteered their services. The Foundation has been hosting this Christmas get-together for the past twelve years but this year surpasses all other years and they were able to bring cheer and love to over 500 children and their families.

The Kalinago Child Support Foundation Inc. is working specifically toward developing, nurturing, and empowering Kalinago children. This organization was founded on August 10, 2010. The Foundation has adopted between 150 – 200 children, who will be the beneficiaries of the Foundation.
