The Rotary Club of Portsmouth Dominica is thrilled to announce its annual Christmas Hampers Initiative, aimed at providing support to individuals and families in need during the festive season. The initiative will see the distribution of Christmas hampers filled with non-perishable food items to those who may be facing financial hardship. In collaboration with local supermarkets in Portsmouth and Roseau, the Rotary Club of Portsmouth has set up designated collection boxes where community members can donate non-perishable food items. These collection boxes are conveniently located at Jolly’s Pharmacy, Northern Food Supplies, Savers, Strawberry’s, and Titanium in Portsmouth as well as H.H.V. Whitchurch and Co. Ltd. and Big W and in Roseau. The club strongly encourages individuals, businesses, and organizations to join hands and contribute to this noble cause. By donating non-perishable food items such as canned goods, pasta, rice, flour, and other essential items, we can collectively make a positive impact on the lives of those who are less fortunate in our community.President of the Rotary Club of Portsmouth Dominica, McMarara Joseph, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, “Christmas is a time for giving, and as Rotarians, we firmly believe in the power of community service. Through our Christmas Hampers Initiative, we aim to bring joy and relief to those in need, ensuring that they can enjoy the holiday season with a sense of comfort and security.”The Rotary Club of Portsmouth acknowledges the generous support of the participating supermarkets and extends its heartfelt gratitude to the community for their ongoing support.
