Harrison Warrington of upper Kingshill, Leon Jonathan Alexander of Mahaut, and St.Lucian Kimbert Dandre David have now been remanded into custody at the Dominica State Prison pending sentencing following a drug trafficking charge preferred against them by the police.
It is alleged that on January 9, 2023, at about 6:10 AM, the three men were apprehended in the south of the island by the Dominica Coast Guard on a fishing vessel with 3336 grams of cocaine.
The men were arrested and charged and appeared before Magistrate Pearl Williams on January 12, 2023.
At their court hearing, the Dominican men, Warrington and Alexander pleaded guilty to the drug trafficking charge whilst David pleaded not guilty.
The matter was adjourned to January 19, 2023, for facts and sentencing.
Although the prosecution did not object to bail, the accused men were unable to present suitable sureties to the court and as a result, they were remanded into custody at the Dominica State Prison until such time.
Bail is opened to the men.
They should easy on these guy trafficking this poison to Dominica to mess up people’s children. I hope that they confiscate the boat and hit them with a hihg bail so thst other will learn a lesson.
Without this powder and gun sales where would Dominica be financially? Cars are bought, building materials are bought, properties are bought, expensive luxury cars are bought by people who have no jobs and gov not asking no questions. This country is a Malay melange. Herod is killing all the male child. He must remain king.
Now we looking for who will post bail for these three, who I believe are only the couriers and not the real big operators behind this deal. The big fish wil not easily show their hand because they know their cards could be marked this time. At best they may get some of that coke sluiced back perhaps through corrupt sources in our police force, they probably all being watched I believe by outside law enforcement. Best to take a loss of 3kg., plenty more where that is coming from.
Let me bet: they will be fined and released to peddle their poison later. They will learn from their mistake so that they do not get caught the next time.
These miscreants need to stop importing and selling poison to the young people. Those who engage in this illegal activity are bringing further degradation and destruction to the already declining country.
A lot of the illegal drugs and guns apparently is smuggled into the country by these local fishing vessels. Every fishing boat entering the shores of Dominica should be thoroughly searched.
