Over the period October 24th – 26th, 2023, the Government of Dominica staged Ti Vilaj Kweyol, an event which showcased everything Dominica at the Botanic Gardens.
Ti-Vilaj Kweyol has been the result of efforts of the Ministry of Labour, Public Service Reform, Social Partnership, Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development, the Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Agriculture, National Food Security and Blue and Green Economy, the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Community Development, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Business, Trade and Renewable Energy, as well as a number of other strategic public and private sector partners.
Ti-Vilaj Kweyol: Toute Biten Domnik presented an excellent opportunity for locals and visitors alike to convene and to celebrate various aspects of our culture and tradition as a people. It is also provided a readily available marketplace that afforded over seventy (70) small businesses the opportunity to market and sell their products.
As Minister responsible for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development, I am extremely pleased to report that Ti Vilaj Kweyol was a resounding success. I wish to convey my deepest gratitude to you the public at large, fellow Dominicans, children, residents, visitors and the thousands of returning Dominicans for the Independence celebrations. Your patronage of the event inclusive of the foods, drinks, products on sale and the various performers and artists was exceptional.
I wish also to register the appreciation and sincere gratitude of the Government to the all the suppliers, sponsors and partners who helped the Government undertake Ti Vilaj Kweyol. Your support in cash and in kind made it easier to host an event of this magnitude.
