The BBC has reported that the Trump administration has halted all asylum decisions following the shooting of two National Guard soldiers in Washington DC, according to a statement from Joseph Edlow – the Director of the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
Edlow said that the pause will continue until “until we can ensure that every alien is vetted and screened to the maximum degree possible”.
This latest statement on US immigration policy has come hours after Trump vowed to pause permanently immigration from all third world countries.
This reactionary decisions came on the heels of a shooting on Wednesday that found one soldier dead and a second in critical condition.
Sadly, I have spoken to many diasporas who proudly proclaim they voted for Trump. Some of them in relationships with illegals had to run and marry and those without papers are scrambling to get into arranged marriages. They realize that what they voted for has turned out to be the devil in disguise. Just like the one here
Those at home waiting for US papers are in for a rough ride and long wait. Even visitor visas granted are far and few in between. Just ask the high level government official that was denied recently much to her surprise even if she was only renewing.

Trump not doing himself any favors, he chose to do a photo like that contorting his face into an almost snarl so he would look tough to people. He has earned the collective scorn of the world and yet still has so many die hard supporters.
Too many people either love him like a sycophant or prejudicially hate him, at least there are few that see him for what he is without being tempted to one hypocritical extreme or the other.
