Donald Trump was the third president to be impeached in all of American history. The only other two presidents were Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton – Richard Nixon resigned before impeachment proceedings could be brought against him.
Impeachment is a process within the American system that allows the president to be tried for any offence from treason to criminal misdemeanors if the authorities think the crimes are numerous enough or particularly egregious.
The allegations against Trump seemed varied and were played out over the media almost as soon as the president took office, with some of the accusations of wrong doing actually taking place during his presidential campaign.
The democrats ,at least, believed that the sitting president was clearly guilty.
However, Trump very easily carried the votes to avoid being convicted of a crime. How exactly did this take place?

Trump is going to go the way of Nixon, Nixon won a second term by a landslide then his crooked deeds caught up with him in his second term and he was forced to resign. Trump is going to win by a landslide in November then have to resign within two years in his second term when all the senators in his party who are not up for re-election go to the White House and tell him to resign or be prosecuted. That’s what they did to Nixon. He runs the White House like a MAFIA boss.

He was indicted by the House of Representatives and sent to trial in the Senate but the Senators didn’t allow any witness or evidence to be heard so how can they say his not guilty. The guy is a pathological liar who cheated on all three of his wives and he even paid two prostitutes to stop them from talking. His first wife said he raped her in her divorce deposition . How can any American president go to the United Nation get on the podium and criticized any other country leader. America has twenty three trillion dollars of debt so how can they have any standing at the World Economic forum in Davos. He said he’s a Christian so how can he have three wives that’s alive. The guy is a cult leader just like Jim Jones or David Corresch.
Donald Trump wants to be president for life, he has joked about that, people think he is just joking but he is serious. He loves dictators and wants to be one.

The most important thing that happened during the whole impeachment was when GOP Senator Mitt Romney, broke ranks with his party to convict his president. Here is part of the reasons he gave

When I heard him I immediately thought of his faith, which is Momon, a religion that our preachers here believe is a cult. But see how a so called cult would put his faith before politics and condemn wrong! DNO I wish I could call those pastors, the Evangelist, priests and the Bishop by name and individually ask them, if their FAITH based on Truth or greed? I sure prefer Romney’s faith
This case shows typically what happens in countries, Dominica being no exception. Ultimately the Senate voted along party lines. In Dominica there have been so many allegations, the big story on Aljazeera included, and these have not swayed the hardcore voters. They have all voted along party lines. It does not matter what their party does wrong they will vote along those lines. We have a price to pay for not standing up for a just society.
As ugly as it was and as misleading as it was, what we saw was real Democracy at its best. We saw the power of money and how the Republican Senators played politics with the truth to protect their leader Donald Trump . They lied, they played the cover-up game and made wrong look right. But in the midst of that it was democracy that was the winner, as the truth was revealed and exposed no matter on which side you are. I was pleasantly touched when GOP senator and former presidential candidate, Mitt Romney put part aside and stood for what he believed was the truth. Lord, when will we see that in Dominica? When will laborites put party aside and stand for truth? When will Dominicans stand up and let Skerrit know wrong is wrong like Mitt Romney, a Mormon believer did? When will the Evangelist, pastors, priests bishop stand for truth? I know 99.9% of Dominicans in the US are Democrats and wanted to see Trump out. But it is these same people that supporting the evil of Skerrit here
The democrats and their deluded supporters have never accepted the results of the 2016 US elections. The signs were present in the lead up to the 2016 US elections that Trump was on his way to winning that election.
They have been harassing Trump with all manner of freak shows – Russia interference nonsense, Ukraine dis & dat etc. They so busy with these freak shows that they failed to ensure their Iowa caucus thing was properly in place.
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, this impeachment stunt the democrats tried on Trump may very well result in Trump having an even more resounding victory in the 2020 US elections.
Then the democrats might blame somebody from Antarctica or Timbuktu for helping Trump win.
