Reports reaching Dominica News Online indicate that Nardia Paul and Davis Marcellin also known as DJ Blazzer died in a vehicle accident in Gommier on Sunday.
DNO will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
Update based on information from the CDPF.
Investigators from the Vieille Case Police area in collaboration with officers from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) have commenced investigation into a double vehicular road fatality which occurred about about 10:.00 a.m. today (17th of August 2025).
According to information from the police, rented Toyota Rush Registration No.TQ157 with three persons on board including the driver, Davis Marcellin traveling in a northerly direction along the Thibaud to Vieille Case public road went off the road over a cliff and plunged into a precipice.
The driver and his girlfriend Nardia Paul of Dos D’ Ane residing at Penville succumbed to serious injuries whilst the third person of Clifton was transported from the scene for medical attention.
Investigation into the incident continues.
This accident occurred just about 8 years after the tragic passing of the Penville 5.
I always listen to the radio and I always pay close attention to the add about gun amnesty. I also like to listen to the song of PM Skerrit & Mr Ridge about Riddim. I usually shut my ears to the nasty aspect of the song but I turn up the volume to the part that encourages young people to sewo but no guns. That’s very good but I must say that those very expensive sewo where our young people drive drunk and sometimes even transporting passengers are as dangerous as guns and I therefore call on the Hon pm to pass laws that will hold those sponsoring those expensive sewo that taking the lives of so many young accountable
well, well, well. I’m so sorry to hear that and my deepest sympathy to the families and friends of the deceased.
I’m quite sure that the Hon. Parlrep will give them a very big state funeral just as he did for the Penville 5 eight years ago. i guess the original protocol will be followed, where the death announcement will have the parlrep as well as the sports Minister at the top of mourners and most likely their bodies will be in the same hole and most likely will be buried in the same burial ground like the Penville 5. Government officials will be be present and most likely even the president will be there. The crowd will be very large but unfortunately when it’s all said and done and every body will return to their homes families and people of penville will continue to cry and ask why and soon after that everyone will forget about them like the Penville 5. Meanwhile 5 plus two is seven
Condolences goes out to the family and friends of the deceased. Absent of eye witness corroboration and toxicology results, I will limit my comments and concern to the ever present dangers of the accident prone roads across Dominica.
Driving on the narrow, winding and sometimes elevated roads in Dominica can be challenging for even the most experienced and skilled drivers. The often unspoken, unwritten and sometimes unposted advisory to Dominicans and visitors should be “go slow and proceed with caution.”
Unfortunately though, a momentary lapse in concentration, judgment or vehicular malfunction can result in serious injuries and worse, especially during inclement weather.
My deepest sympathy to their entire families. It’s very sad that all these young people losing their lives road accidents. Be careful drive in a safely manner. May their souls rest in eternal peace.
Is it a case of more sacrifices by the devil?Stop reducing this poor and backward, corrupt and struggling country into a place where people can fete their poverty away in a glass of rum and VERY DIRTY and OBSCENE music.
I am not being insensitive, i am just being blunt and pragmatic because that’s who i am. I am no hypocrite, i don’t sugarcoat.
I grieve with all the families mourning presently. May they get comfort from the most high.

Well said.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Like you i also believe that we are too hypocritical in this failed country as well.
Condolences to the family especially the Marcellins and the Penville community recalling the tragic accident of Penville 5 at Embas. Not assuming blame but this highlights the need for increased road safety, safe driving and safe roads- particularly the installation of guardrails along road edges(precipices).
Hypocrisy is well defined. Let’s not assume blame but instead blame it on lack of guardrails.
Let’s not even ask questions about the national sewo where our young people drink all night until 9:am Sunday morning and drive drunk knowing nobody will stop them to perform any DUI on them.
Let’s not even question who is financing these sewos, where money coming from since they are known to be death traps as the Penville 5 is now the Penville 7.
We are behaving like the parable of the Good Samaritan Jesus spoke about, where everyone seems to be seeing a nation that’s wounded, people dying all kinds of deaths but we passing far from them and allow them to die because we afraid to ask questions let alone to even blame the cause. Let’s keep pretending
Heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of the deceased. May you find comfort in the happiest memories that they left to cherish. Gone much too soon.
DNO, is it the same place where the penville 5 went down?? rest with bouyon and bouzz..
