UWP final candidate launched: Nept For Grandbay

Nept Pacquette UWP candidate for Grandbay

The United Workers Party has formally introduced their candidate for the Grand Bay Constituency; completing the 21 slate for the upcoming general elections.

Business Consultant, Nept Kannit Pacquette aged 35 was presented to the public at a press conference held at the Prevo Cinemall on Tuesday.

Pacquette replaces former UWP candidate Attorney Noreen John who passed away in May 2019.

The introduction of a special agro hybrid cannabis propagation plant and new innovative practices and technology in farming are some of his plans for the South City.

He also pledged to work for the people of that constituency with all his might and determination.

“I have a plan and I will work to restore agriculture, improve farm access and introduce new innovative practices and technologies in farming,” he said. “

He said his number one mission is to entice new and younger farmers to get involved in farming and with the UWP government Grandbay will be home to a special agro hybrid cannabis propagation plant.

Pacquette further stated that his vision for Grandbay is indeed radical and revolutionary with intentions to merge e-commerce and tourism in the growth of a new online market.

“I will be part of the new marketing initiative form and our people tourism and cultural products to provide new areas for cultural growth and to introduce Grandbay to the online community in a bigger and better way,” he explained.

Furthermore, Pacquette indicated that tourism will bloom in Grandbay. “The Geneva Estate will be utilized to its full potential with a shopping complex and a national heritage museum. And my party when in government will set up a youth entertainment empowerment and training enterprise,” he stated.

Admitting that he is both humbled and challenged, Pacquette said he is also confident that he has what it takes to lead Grandbay.

“I know that the road ahead is not going to be easy. I am however confident that I have what it takes to succeed as a candidate and by succeed, I mean win,” he added.

Paquette was selected by the Grandbay Constituency Association and the Party Leader Lennox Linton believes it is a very significant development, because according to him, “Nept is a young man, a young man of courage, a young man of vision”.

Kalinago Justice:: let’s bear in mind that it will be Edd’s first time in office as the parl rep. Good leaders don’t set out to be a leader..they set out to make a difference. It’s never about the role-always about goal. We all know that the goal of the DLP is to better life for everyone. We see it everywhere we pass: homes, education, employment, health. Ed has leadership skills that allows him to work with anyone for the good of his constituency and Dominica in general…

    Oh my
    apologies
But all of these guys have no experience
By the time they gain knowledge
It will be time for another election
    We cannot gamble no way
    Labour all the way

How much experience did Skerrit, Austrie and all the rest have when the Labour party won in 1999? How much experience does Melissa, Dr. Mac and Kent Edwards have? For that matter ALL of Dominica’s prime ministers had zero experience when they first became prime minister. That argument has no merit.

And lest you think its strictly Dominica, how much experience did Obama have when he became President?

EGG head from Eggleston stop talking rubbish. You looking at educated men working in their field for year and talking about experience? How much experience those dunce cat on DLP team have or had including MS PM with her nonexistent degree? Labourites not tired of embarrassing themselves on social media. Stupid food Skerrit feeding all you man. See how long he is a PM and he still cannot hold a proper conversation without somebody write him a script. The man has no idea of anything in the world except mepuis and nonsense. Its a total disgrace!

    • October 16, 2019

@Eggleston born and bread, Giraudel I born and bred, wee! Perhaps you know my family there.

Anyway, you spoke my thought, those guys will take five to 10 years to gain experience in the role of government. In times like this, why would we remove a well matured and qualified Prime Minister and his governing body to replace him with a nonqualified old man, who doesn’t have any “body” at all?

:?: All of these candidates has more experience than when your one-man rogue regime prime mistake entered politics. Your one-man rogue regime prime mistake didn’t have a bicycle neither had he worn a jacket before politics! This is the most dangerous gamble you all have ever taken with the island, therefore bringing it to the gutters!!! Help remove the island from the one-man rogue rule of the prime mistake!!!

:?: I want to see whether the people of that constituency will not respond positively to this young man :?: They’ve been following the same old with no positive development to show. The ed has been with the one-man rogue regime for 20 years and has not made any positive impact on the community,so voting ed will not make any positive good.

KID you should wonder for true. You know all skerrit offer is money and thats how you all get candidates. Imagine people accepting for nothing just to kick skerrit out. That is shameful and you should be concerned.

@Bg; hasn’t e.d and his one-man rogue regime been in power for 20 years :?: What makes you think that he’ll do anything better with another term :?: The one-man rogue regime has failed you all,yet still you’re following with your head and eyes closed :?: From what I’ve seen, poverty is in the genes of black people, you all are the ones breeding poverty on yourselves and thinking handouts will make life better!!!
