Could someone tell me why the carnival organizers will allow new calypsonian to use the names of other calypsonian, if you are related use name like son of so and so or put a title before the name you have Dice that come from nowhere and using the name of a popular guy name Dennis Arkie. Now you have a guy calling himself Bingo. the original Dice is living in Katy Texas with his family. Tony(bingo)Henderson is also still alive. Could one go to Trinidad or other country
and use the name like Sparrow or Kitchener, unless you want to par royalty. We have no standards in our country. The names of former calypsonians should be retired and not use unless used like son of the Saint which make a lot of cense.

Less we miss it, Climate Actions are very much part of our 2020 Carnival. As we prepare for the 50th. Anniversary of Earth Day, carded for April 22, which is round the corner. A number of Actions are being implemented. The Junior Calypso monarch won with a calypso written by Teacher, Mr. Jerry Lloyd of St Mary’s Academy. Two of the Carnival Queen Contestants have chosen Climate Actions for their platforms. And so too is one of the Contestants for the “Mother Queen” competition. The Blue Economy Band of DASPA made a great impression at the opening ceremony of Carnival 2020. The St Martin Primary School Parents, Teachers and Students are working had to present another master piece this year. So too is the Convent Prep. School. The 50th. Anniversary Earth Day ECHO 78 will continue to monitor and endorse all Climate Actions that are happening at this time… Let us know how you and your organizations are planning to celebrate Earth Day 2020.

I know we in the carnival season so I expect carnival news But apart from carnival nothing happening in Dominica to give some hope?
I know the Kimpinski hotel is opened and running so DNO can you not report that they seeking 150 employees and fresh fruits and vegetables?
I also know the New Ross University is open and running so DNO you cannot announce that the school needs 150 employees as well as land lords?
DNO can you not report that Whitchurch Portsmouth branch needs cashiers, managers, delivery drivers and non skilled workers to work the shelves and give customer service?
DNO can you please for the sake of hope, fake some good news to give people the impression that Dominica is not down and out? I mean since after the election in December, all I hearing about is carnival and crime as if nothing else is happening

Great quality songs this year from all i have heard. If second songs are of high standards it going to be tight. Even sour sour had a song that had some level above the crap he normally performed. Keep improving.
