He is survived by his wife Elleen Durand, one daughter Curleen Durand – a teacher at the Colihaut Primary School and one grandson Já-ir Henry.


He will also be remembered by:

Sisters – Hyacinth St. Louis, Josephine and Cecilia Durand.


Brothers in law – Albert Bartley, Maxillien ‘Sillo’ St. Louis, Simon Xavier, Adolphus Christian, Hayden Baptiste and Cletus Green.


Sisters-in-law – Joanne Durand, Decima Baptiste, Sonia Christian, Alix Joseph and Rosalind Gordon.


One uncle – Omega ‘Tabor’ Coipel


Nieces, including Minerva and Minevra Xavier, Naomi Langlais and family, Jemima, Orabelle and Zipporah Benjamin, Natasha Christian, Felicia, Theresa, Clarissa, Yoshabel, Corazón Abigail and Nathalia Durand, Andrea Dupigny, Shanelle St. Louis, Vanessa Joasaint, Phoebe Constant, Calma and Brinder Green.

The communities of Petite Soufriere, San Sauveur, Good Hope, Castle Bruce, Salisbury,  and Colihaut.

The body of the late Claude Durand may be viewed from 2:00 pm on Tuesday 26th January at the Roseau Seventh-day Adventist Church, followed by the funeral service at 2:30 pm and interment at the Roseau public cemetery.

    Yes that was my cousin too.he is an ex member of the dominica disfuncted defence force.

    To Mooloon, Cecilia, Jude, Teeboy, Abraham the rest of the immediate family not forgetting the Durand, Coipel and Dangleben family of Pte. Soufriere/ San Sauveur deepest sympathies and rest assured he is in a better place. :cry: :cry: :cry: .
