Breakthrough in murder investigation of Dominican

The police in Antigua are reporting that several persons are assisting in their investigation of a robbery and the subsequent killing of Dominican Dorothy Prince.

The Antigua Observer is reporting that at least one individual has been declared a person of interest.

This after the police have been searching for days without success for leads after the crime was committed last Friday.

The police also recovered a green Nissan motorcar believed to be the getaway vehicle involved in the crime.

The Observer said Police Commissioner Vere Brown confirmed the vehicle was being examined by crime investigators.

The newspaper reported that it was reliably informed that the car was stripped of its tint and appeared to be thoroughly cleaned.

Prince, who hailed from Grand Fond, was shot last Friday when four men executed a robbery at the Dee’s Service Station in Antigua.

The masked men were able to make good their escape in a heavily tinted car with $5,200.

It is reported the robbers opened fire upon escaping and Prince was shot three times.

She succumbed to her wounds on Saturday.

My deepest condolence to the family and friends of Dorothy Prince. I unstndand your pain, since I am also a vicitim of such violence. Once a gain the Carribean Government must come to together to combat these viloence that are taking the Carribean Country by Storm. We must find ways and means to control these violence offenders. Since their is no fear in the hearts of thse committing this crime, then the Government should put fear in them. First and foremost the death penalty should be inforce, secondly police officers should be well trained as community police, that’s mean they developed a close relationship with the community. They should be proactive at all time. The Carribean Country should not be come like the Western World. When Tourist and other Individual leaving their home town for a safe environment, they should not coming to the Carribean to live in fear and distrust. The Question is what causes people inbecoming criminals? One we must taking into account the Mens Rea. Secondly the Causation. If the Carribean Government fails to be proactive to deals with Criminals, their will be a cry for help that will be too late to answer.

That may be so but can you remove yourself from the equation and think of the tragedy and immense senseless lost this family is going through. She was gainfully employed hitherto the problems of Antigua. Criminals are criminals, right now with the wave of crime in Dominica who are we to point fingers at any other place. People feel safer in DETROIT than Dominica and the caribbean right now. Why? because they know what to expect and so try to tread cautiously, the caribbean used to be a place of tranquility and safety look what we have become!

It is time we get to our knees and pray for our country. We as Christians have not been doing our jobs. We have let politics blind our eyes. We must read 1Timothy 2:1-6 where the Apostle Paul say that we must pray and give thanks for our leaders and those in authority. Yet Christians have blasted the government and people in authority and some have also say negative pronouncement on Dominica.

What do you expect to happen in the country when God’s children have day in and day out saying negative pronounce on Dominica? God said “My people are destroyed because of lack of knowledge…” and He also said “If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray , and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

These murderers are heartless I do hope that they will be justly rewarded. The thieves come to steal, kill and destroy. When convicted they should be shot. Because the bible states that those who kill by the sword should be dead by the sword. They will not live to kill others. I sympathise with the family.
