Man what statistics are you requesting? Everyone in Dominica can relate to every person who was murdered 10 yrs ago. If you need statistics go enjoy life in Dominica and put on your local knowledge hat. Statistics my arm.

I would like to get the homicide statistics for the year ending 2023. This is done in all the other territories in the OECS. It is even given in Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago where the counts are astonishing. Why does law enforcement stubbornly refuse to reveal the numbers in Dominica? The media should insist on the revelation of the figures

I insist on asking for the end of year homicide figure, the number of reported robberies, house break-ins, cases of praedial larceny, rapes, wounding with intent, so the citizens could use these statistics to help to adequately protect themselves from harm and danger.

I shall repeat. The PRESS in Dominica is slothful and incurious. Even to procure this general information is problematic. What a covert, surreptitious government! What an unresourceful media!

This was the “18th and final homicide in Dominica for 2023,” according to DNO: https://dominicanewsonline.com/news/homepage/calibishie-man-charged-and-denied-bail-for-murder/

What would this statistic do for you? You are ready this 2024 to start Dominica on a bad name. What’s the benefit IBO… Do you need that to add to your political forum. You are too much man. You don’t even live there and destroying the Island reputation. Shame on you.

I hope that the police have the right person who has committed this gruesome murder. Before the elevation of Starboy of Stupidity-Incompetence-Lies , the murder count did not reach double digits. Now, it is consistently in the two digit range.

People commit murders when they think they can get away with it because law enforcement is amateurish. Dominica is in dire need of a competent, apolitical, well trained, well equipped, professional law enforcement agency.

Although the family members and friends of the deceased may be unable to see beyond the sorrow at this point in time, I hope by looking back the many memorable moments shared with the dearly departed, will aid in alleviating the excruciating pain of the loss.

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 7 Thumb down 6
