The UWP party has issued a letter of congratulations to Anette Sanford on her landslide victory and election to the office of Kalinago Chief.
“The Executive and Supporters of the United Workers Party-TEAM Dominica (UWP) extends sincerest congratulations to you on your being elected to the Office of Kalinago Chief at the Elections,” stated the letter.
Underscoring her commitment to the community, the letter also cites Sanford’s “unimpeachable character” and “integrity” as major factors in her historic win.
“Every good wish is extended to you as you commence the discharge of your duties of unifying the Kalinago People in particular, and the citizenry of the Commonwealth of Dominica generally,” the letter says in closing.
Sanford also has the distinction of becoming the first Kalinago senator, serving for the UWP from February 10, 2020, to December 6, 2022.

DNO what is up with your photos – do not tell me this what they sent you, you should be asking for a photo of the chief in the chief attire to post with these messages.
I would humbly advise Mrs Annette Sanford to focus more on raising the living standards of her Kalinago people. You cannot stretch yourself too thin by taking onboard all the issues of the UWP. You are bound to get worn out if you do.
Dr. Thomson Fontaine seems as though he is not prepared to do the door to door campaigning to galvanize the support of most voters. He has repeatedly asserted that he does not have to be on the ground in Dominica others in the party can do that. That sort of statement should only come from a political novice.
I have no confidence with that mindset that Dr Fontaine can lead Dominicans to victory at the next polls. Who are the caretaker candidates for the next election? The voters have become disillusioned. The UWP under Dr. Fontaine’s misdirection is losing support. UWP supporters get livid when this is said but it’s the unvarnished TRUTH.
While I understand what you are saying about Dr Fontaines failure to do door to door campaign, was it any better under Hon Lennox Linton? For the past ten years, going back to the 2014 election, uwp seems to have given up on community presence let alone door to door campaign or even road side public meetings so those who are scared listening to Q95, could at least stay home to hide but at least would hear the UWP. So don’t blame Dr Thompson alone as clearly it’s the entire party that has left all of us

The UWP executive was dissatisfied with Mr. Linton stewardship so they installed Dr. Fontaine in his position. Have things improved since? Has the UWP grown support for the party since the change of leadership? Can the good doctor command the attention of his audience? The doctor is so boring that five (5) minutes after Dr. Fontaine’s address you don’t remember one thing he said. Sad but true.
No one wants to see the notorious, corrupt Liar kicked out of office more than I do. The monotonous, intransigent, new leadership of the UWP does not inspire hope. The doctor reminds me of a truant. Absenteeism has never achieved anything positive.
This late expression of congratulations is further evidence of the scant regard that the UWPWee has for Mrs. Sanford and her husband. Shameful!!
Even the UPP, Joshua Francis, was more elated about her triumph.
