DPP justifies deportation of US missionary and family; says they were prohibited and undesirable immigrants

Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Sherma Dalrymple, has justified her office’s decision to deport US missionary Jason Grogg and his family saying they were deemed prohibited and undesirable immigrants whose presence on the island would be detrimental and unlawful.

Speaking on state-owned DBS Radio she said she was aware the matter had sparked public questions but pointed out that everything was done within the arms of the law.

“Jason Grogg and his family were deemed prohibited immigrants pursuant to Section 5 of the Immigration and Passport Act Chapter 18.01 of the 2017 Consolidate Laws of Dominica,” she stated.

“As such on Wednesday the 6th of March 2024, Jason Grogg and family were repatriated back to the United States of America.”

Dalrymple said the entire matter was handled legally.

“I wish to bring to the attention of the public that the repatriation of Mr Grogg and his family was legal and the procedures employed by the police [were] fair and just,” the DPP noted.

“Mr Grogg was convicted of serious firearms offenses within the Commonwealth of Dominica. Further, Jason Grogg and family were not regularized under the immigration laws of Dominica and Jason Grogg had several customs charges related to firearms and the evasion of customs duties before the court.”

She added, “The state, that is the Commonwealth of Dominica, has a right under the Immigration and Passport Act to cause an individual and his dependents, not belonging to the state, to leave the state [whether] on economic grounds or on the account of standards or habits of life to be undesirable inhabitants which was considered in this matter.”

She explained that the continued stay of Grogg and his family in Dominica would have been “detrimental and unlawful” and would not be of public interest.

The matter has generated widespread interest, not only here in Dominica as it has been published in several major international news outlets.

For his part, Grogg has vowed to return to the island saying it is the will of God and that Dominica is now his home.

Some of y ‘all actually defending this man?!!!
Have you guys read the information on his website https://christianexodus.net/
They are of the same ilk of Jim Jones and the Westboro Baptiste Church. FOH with that nonsense.
Their aim is to have armed members on a commune! And they think they can get away with it in Dominica because we have ‘unregulated real-estate’ which helps in their aim of living a ‘radically free lifestyle’.
Leave politics out of this. These people are a scourge which needs to be kept away from out island!!

Mindful of the matter which sparked public questions is one thing, that should be expected, but going on the airwaves defending the course of the law making statements about prohibited and undesirable immigrants is unnecessary, it just plays into the hands of Jason Grogg. Soon this event
will fade away like many others in the past, Jason Grogg will move on with his life, and Dominica will always be there to welcome visitors.

He will be back. They never stop until they turn you all into a little screaming Jesus.
You are all open to that Jesus thing so all he has to say is lawd or god, and you let him back it’s Jesus again! He said it.

We don’t see Hindu people (there’s billion +) screaming and dancing Chrishna, not Buddhists all over bawling Buddha, but he knows you will worship a god in his image and likeness and NOT your own image and likeness. Like Muhammad of Arabs Islam, Krishna of Hindus, Buddha of Asia; but you, is the image of white man of Europe? Wha happen to you, now brainwashed you think something is wrong with me?

Seems like black people cannot let go of that white Jesus who will never came back to take them to heaven. Still ingrained in the minds that a white Jesus can save them. What a pity.
Black people, rid your minds of that foolishness so that you will be mentally free.

I am one who constantly criticize the DPP on the way she handles the justice department but I must say I commend her on her actions in this case. Others and myself who live in Mr. Grogg’s country have to play by their rules and if we don’t, like several other before, we will be sent home. Why can’t he adhere to the rules in our country and why is his getting involved in domestic politics. Garçon know you place.

So this guy claim to be a man of god but he is importing firearm’s meant to kill? Very suspicious. Reminds me of Jim Jones. White American evangelists using god as entitlement always get me suspicious of their intentions. Good riddance. Keep him and his guns out.

Sherman Dalrymple (DPP) has attempted to brush aside criticisms for the unanticipated deportation of Mr. Grogg and his family. However, can she justify the seven year long PERSECUTION of Linton, James, et alia on blatant bogus charges?

The discontinuance of airtight murder cases, the ten times postponement of a bogus case of incitement, are incontestable evidence of an incompetent DPP and a malfunctioning judicial system.

In Dominica, the judicial system is wholly corrupt as truth is denied the right to be a witness.

Mr. Grogg, I believe your services as a firearms instructor is more valuable to the American way of life therefore please stay away from Dominica. You and your clan are not welcome on island. You have nothing to contribute to the island’s development. You’re the kind of individual who doesn’t want to play by the rules therefore you left the US in search of some place where you feel you don’t necessarily have to abide by the rules of the country as most Americans do. WRONG. Not in Dominica. It was no oversight or error when you brought those firearms in. This was your intention all along. You’re not fooling anyone.
Also, we are quite capable of taking care of our spiritual needs on island therefore we don’t need false prophets like yourself coming in to counsel us on religious matters.
Do not come back to Dominica. Your kind is not welcome here.

You know, the Dominica judiciary full of crap. My question is this, assuming that the father is guilty of an offense, which involves a gun; or guns; and ammunition.
I want to know if the children were also involved and was charged in the crime?
If they were not involved, arrest and charge, why do they have to suffer the consequences of deportation?
What does the Bible say about the sins of the parents in reference to their children?
I doubt these people entered the country illegally if the entire family should not be deported unless they are involved a crime!
It seems to me that’s all political!
It’s time for us to lean to treat people in our country as they treat us in their’s.
How many illegal Dominican’s are all over the Virgin Islands and America?
If they are rounded up and deported to Dominica, would Roosevelt and his puppets be happy about that?

De DPP haven’t given evidence of any wrong doing on the part of the man’s wife and children.
People get deported from de US for dam good reasons because there are millions of undocumented who never get harassed by authorities……..I went to school there, worked there and have children there.
De DPP hasn’t proven any wrongdoing on the part of de man wife and children.
They dropped de case against him then giving de impression he is guilty of a crime?
Our DPP looking more foolish now………what else we want to show de world!!!!!
She had nothing to say earlier……..who/what hurt her for her to come with this lame explanation.
De man out of all you reach, outside de laws of Dominica………now you trying to explain and justify your actions? Why? Let Skerrit do de explaining nuh.
we in de public don’t know half de story and we can’t depend on our DPP for de truth

If that’s the case with Jason, convicted of seroius firearm offenses, had several custom charges related to firearms and even the evasion custom duties before the court, and if Jason’s intention was to use Dominica as his entry for importing and seliing illegal firearm in the name of God, the law has every right to deport him.
America’s law enforcement would most probably do the same.
Jason spoke on Q95 recently and asked the host, ( do you seen the state of Dominica)?
Well Jason, if you think that Dominica is so horrible, why would you bring your entire family to such a horrible place?
What are you running away from in the USA?
You use God almighty name as a scapegoat and your Family as missionary for your illegal firearm trafficking and think i would get away with it in Dominica. You were wrong.
Any man who is fully protected by GOD Almighty should never get himself involved trafficking guns.
Thumbs 👍 to the Law enforcement of the Commonwealth of Dominica.

OK miss DPP, I hope you have your bases covered and you stand on solid grounds for, on the contrary, if he were to be successful in his belief that he was unlawfully deported and prevails in a court of law, then it’s us the citizens who will pay the damages.
On another note, is it true that he had filed a case against the AG for the unlawful imprisonment of his under-aged children ? I heard him saying that.

“PENCIL” they were not Dominican citizens therefore Dominica as any other country can deport any non citizen who breaks the law no matter how small or grave the unlawful activity is. No court in this world can force Dominica to accept a non citizen. Your comment about “it’s us the citizens who will pay the damages” is HOG WASH.
When last were the citizens of the USA, CANADA, ENGLAND, FRANCE..etc. concerned about the deportation of those involved in criminal activity back to their homeland. Too many guns on the island. “One less gun loving right wing THUG Dominicans do not have to be worried about. I applaud “miss DPP.

I would like to know what would have made the continued stay of Mr. Grogg and his family “detrimental and unlawful” and not be of public’s interest. He was a paying tenant and contributed to the bus drivers of St. Joseph daily bread through his daily travels. His deportation has resulted in a loss on income for some of us. Not only has the landlord has lost the monthly rental income that he got from Mr. Grogg but right now he is stuck with their possession at his apartment, which is preventing him from easily moving on to rent for another tenant.

These are missionaries, that’s what they do and most authorities let them alone for quoting bible.
What do you think or have to say of those Caribbean people deported from his country driving Uber, construction, paying rent, working 🤔 participating in the economy. This missionary, like others, does not work and has to feed a big family and you-all, with words, importing guns?
They’re after works domination and you poopoo Romans, Christians just let them in?

      Great work what?
You are so damn stupid that if Roosevelt gives you feces to eat and tell you is fresh bread you would not know the difference!
One of the reasons Dominica is the way it is; is because we have a history of chasing white people from Dominica.
Take a look around the Caribbean, if you look carefully, you’ll find there are less foreign white people from anywhere residing in Dominica.
We talk about foreign investment, but Africans, Middle Eastern, don’t go around the world investing in industries creating employment for the natives!
Historically, white people spearheaded such ventures!
We have Chinese sucking the blood of poor nations around the world, how much industries have they invested in Dominica?
Not one they are the fart people Roosevelt Skerrit said he is committed!
Chinese are not helping Dominica, they are bleeding country, creating debts well never be able to repay, eventually they will complete the takeover of the country!
We saw what they did in…

Great. The US can deport, the English and French can but it’s an issue when we do. So many Dominicans have and are being deported daily but no one has an issue with it. American think they are untouchable when they move to other countries. Let them taste what we have experienced. They were lucky that their next stop from Dominica was the US and not in a non US territory.

Which dominicans getting deported daily? We would be increasing our population by at least 365 every year but instead our population is dropping. I can name at least 20 people right now EASILY living in the US ILLEGALLY and there are many others. The US is currently one of the least serious countries when it comes to immigration laws. You have a harder time getting into Mexico than getting into the U.S.
