Enough is enough, going to a hospital killing someone is heartless. This person should get the max, hang him so that others will respect human life,

That makes the Skerrit! China morguepital even more scary. It means they can take you out when you go there because you bounce you toe and gangsters or they can pay hit man to go get you on your morguepital bed. Only now I understand why they had to change it from princess Margaret hospital to Skerrit / China friendship morguepital. Now I have to wonder if the deceased had information on the boys and them that they didn’t want him to spill. The way this brother was killed has me to wonder if some top boys were not involved. Sorry we’ve seen this movie several times before. We recently saw it with Kyan Alexander and Mehul Choksi

What an independent gift. But we are in a big mess. Ahab is very evil and wicked and Jazeebel is just as bad if not worse plus she is very greedy so no way will she encourage evil Ahab to change his ways. Now we have a very evil and corrupt police department, corrupt judges and magistrates and most of our pastors and churches have all been bought by Ahab and Jazeebel . Never in my life have I seen politicians especially very corrupt politicians, the police, drud dealers , pastors and the church agree as one. Before politicians were very afraid of pastors because they didn’t want to be called out and so too were the police because pastors would call them out for their immorality. But today all of them are one and sad thing is some of the murders we see today appear to be the works of Navy Seals but only Ahab and Jezebel seem to know the. But the Bible warn us in pro 29:2when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. In as much as Ahab and Jezebel are filthy rich they are more wicked

“Too many gangstas running wild, tell me what to do with this damn reptiles, if it’s a case of illiteracy, I’m willing to set them free but if not hang dem” I’m again calling on the AG and Min for National Security (two former police officers) to do something immediately to relieve the Dominican populace of the blight that this “recalcitrant” administration and gangsters have brought upon us “tan pleus surpley” it’s time to erect the”hangmans gallows” at Stockfarm Prison as a reminder to all wanna be gangstas and murders that we mean business.

I swear my people lack common sense and are getting more and more ridiculous. We have a gun problem in Dominica; yet, I keep listening to and hearing people calling for prayer to fix the problem. Who have guns? How are the guns getting in? What can the police do? And so many other questions.
Jesus Christ IS NOT coming to solve your gun problem so I’d suggest you hold elected leaders accountability and have them do their jobs.

Melissa Skerrit are the perpetrator(s) and victim members of your Navy Seal elite team and snipers?
Stay tune Mel and your supporters its coming- failed state-
By the way Mel is it true that it’s you who negotiated with Burna Boy and not Colin Piper and the Commitee? One last question; How much was the final bill- the jet, accommodation and full compensation? I love my PM and his wife – I just love them so much- well so is the guy in Dubai. The one with the fake British accent.

Words are powerful and like seeds when we sow them they fall anywhere and will bring forth fruits after their kind.

I know Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit didn’t tell anyone to go to the hospital and kill a patient.
The truth is I remembered when the Hon PM went to a St Joseph meeting and told his supporters and the nation that if they went to the supermarket, to church, a funeral or in their cars and saw “Lennox Linton and members of the UWP call them traitors “. I knew it was a matter of time before some would go to the hospital with a loaded gun and kill people they had an issue with and it’s a matter of time before we see people go to the church, to a funeral, to a supermarket and gun down those they don’t like.
No Skerrit did not do it and did not send anyone to do it but words like seeds are powerful and sometimes seeds fall where we did not plant them

Once again it’s clear that the leadership of the police are asleep at the wheel and are not capable of doing the job of protecting the country. The minister of national security is MIA. 16 murders in Dominca in one year and some are extrajudicial killings and the police don’t place armed officers in the hospital to protect the young man who could have been a key witness in the attempted murder case. Ministers of government are responsible for being reckless with their utterances and these contribute to the lawlessness we are witnessing. The suggestion that other regional countries have more homicides than Dominca shows how desensitized we are becoming as a people. One homicide is one too many and where are our leaders both government and civic. Leaders must lead and in time of turmoil their disappearance and silence becomes more glaring. For the sake of Dominca put a stop to this senseless madness and stop looking at the crimes which obtain elsewhere.

Heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and acquaintances of the deceased.

What a brazen crime! Not even in the confines of the main hospital on island one is safe. This murder is truly repulsive.

There is carnage out there. This heinous and brazen crime was unthinkable two decades ago. Sad to say it will most likely continue to plague the nation. Why? There are no strategic plans to alleviate poverty nor to fight crime in place at the moment.

The country is in dire need of astute leadership; a well motivated, well trained; dutiful and professional police force; a much greater police presence on the streets especially in hotspot areas; community policing; and an inclusive government that involves the political opposition, business sector, clergy, law fraternity, and civil society.

Dominica is fast becoming a gunman’s paradise. Sad!

sorry, but this one has nothing to do with government or those in office. It has to do with mothers who refuse to teach their children morality, decency and respect for themselves and others. it has to do with father’s not being role models and mothers always trying to say that their children are always right. live by the gun…

      • Jonathan Y St Jean
        November 3, 2022

@SIA, this has a lot to do with government and politics in Dominca. There is so much political interference in the police force and the judicial system. How can an incompetent police chief keep his job despite numerous glaring instances of shoddy leadership and execution in law enforcement in the country and you can say that the leadership of the country isn’t to blame for not demanding that the police do more to stop the tide of lawlessness in the country. If something happened in the church we would expect the leader’s to get a handle on matters but you don’t want to see the political leaders as involved when they were elected to lead. The minister of national security is yet to give a statement to the public to reassure the citizens that he’s doing everything in his power to stop the madness, even if I know his tough talking means diddly squat.

    • November 2, 2022

What does astute Leadership have to do with someone pulling a gun on anybody, anywhere? Do you listen to world news about what is happening around the world? It happens everyday in America, in schools, in churches, on playgrounds, in your car, on the streets, at funerals, in the malls. Please put aside your personal vendetta against the PM of Dominica and the Dominica Police Force. They are all working hard to to make it a wonderful world to live in. Lennox Linton would not make a difference. Stop talking rubbish. Brother, we are living in a different world today. What we need are more prayers among ourselves. We just do not pray enough. Only when something bad happens we remember God. We should remember him and think of him everyday.

        November 3, 2022

@ds, you seem to be desensitized to the taking of life in Dominca in fearful situations by pointing to horrendous things occuring in other countries. At least when terrible things happen in other countries the political leaders step up to the plate and address the issues pledging if only in words to reassure the populace. That’s what leadership is expected to do. In Dominca we haven’t heard from the President, not the Prime minister nor the minister of national security. Therefore it’s a clear sign of lack of astute leadership. When bad things are about to happen or are happening parents, the leaders in the house who can’t prevent it try to reassure the children. There isn’t any reassurance in Dominca from political nor civic leaders. Winston Churchill gave reassurance to the British whilst there was mayhem all around them. That’s what leadership does.

Boy boy boy, I have a now deceased friend (may he RIEP) that said to me right before his untimely passing that while Bazil the global old undertaker had retired due to old age, his son Mr. FEEYAPP took over in Dca and he not joking. He said it is very likely the Navy Seals and Dca Snipers of the capital may have him on the payroll.

Everytime I hear of these crimes I cant help but thank god that Lennox Linton is still alive and representing us for now (?). I have said and will continue to say that Dca’s government, the police force and Judiciary by extension has failed us. Politics should never be part and parcel of the legal system and judiciary. The entire cabinet and police high command must go for there to be change!

Mr. Weeks for Commissioner, Magistrate Laudat for Deputy, Sociologist Mr. St. Jean for Assistant Commissioner and Joshua Francis for Attorney General. Time for immediate change. We need a government of national salvation like yesterday.

I often hear people saying Dominica is slowly getting like Haiti. But we no getting like Haiti we are already like Haiti and the longer we keep Roosevelt Skerrit in office the worse it will get.,When a person can go to the China / Skerrit hospital with a loaded gun and go shoot a patient, how worse does it get. Where in Dominica is safe now? You in police custody and there the Skerrit army killing you like we see with Joshua Ettienne. You are hiding in bushes from the police and the Skerrit army going in the woods to kill you innocently like we saw with Kyan Alexander and now you are in hospital and gangsters going right there Ty kill the man in almost broad day light. The question is who shot him? Is he one of the Navy Seals Melissa Skerrit told us she had protecting her? I don’t know but when we hear of these kinds of murders we have ask questions and try to connect every damn dot

I have listened and read with disgust the argument that the death penalty is not a deterrent in Dominica. The last person to be executed was “Frederick Newton in 1986”; it would be interesting to find out how many murders have been committed since then to present day. Don’t give me that “BS” about what’s happening in America, that argument falls flat on it’s face; no wonder our arrogant young men take advantage of the law to commit such “in your face” heinous crimes knowing that they will be walking the streets and not facing the gallows. If you live by the sword “hell yes you should die by it”.

@Ole Police – The people who claim that the death penalty is not a deterrent to the crime of murder are absolutely deluded.

Their preferred deterrents to that heinous crime apparently include bail for murder accused and the hatching of all sorts of legal & social argument technicalities why the court should be lenient when sentencing convicted murderers.
