The preliminary count in the Kalinago Chief Elections has shown Annette Sanford the winner.
The final count and verification of the results will occur tomorrow. Sanford received over 693 votes by the preliminary count.
She beat out six other candidates in the race.

The victory confirms that if we have free and fair elections in Dominica, where voters are not bought and imported from the diaspora by plane loads or by fiery or even by pweepwee to come vote in constituencies where they don’t reside, that crooked and corrupt government would be out long time.
This is a clear message to Skerrit that Dominicans residing in Dominica are very frustrated with him and just can’t wait for him to call free and fair elections so we can legally take care of him

What the heck are you talking about, silly? First of all, you are a laborite lawie, and I am a card-carrying laborite who cast my ballot at the delegate’s conference when I was back home. Second, I just wanted to say that although though I was born in Dominica and worked there for 18 years as a civil servant, I no longer call that country home. I make this comment in light of my investments made back home and my plan to make more so you can get a job further your education. Therefore, I fail to see what you mean when you say that people get excited while they are being objective.
Anette Sanford has all the qualities of a good leader. She is has integrity, good communication skills, and a passion to lift her people from poverty. She is also empathetic, visionary, industrious, courageous, honest and all the other qualities which contribute to serve leadership.
Citizens like Mrs Sanford are a rear breed of people. She has proven that she cannot be bribed and stand on strong moral principles. Once she has access to the necessary resources, the Kalinago territory is in for a phenomenal transformation.

I hope that politics wont interfere too much with the execution of your plans and that the sitting government does NOT do everything in its power to kaibosh or sabotage your chiefdom. Instead i hope they will seek your guidance and work with you, not against you which will off course be to the detriment of our Kalinago people. This corrupt administration is going to put many obstacles in her path of progress but I hope she uses them as stepping stones. I don’t trust politicians for they are deceitful, but Mrs Annette Sanford is an exception. When she refused the twenty thousand ($20K) and a prominent job n the civil service for her husband from the man at the helm for her support in a previous general election, she won both my adoration and trust. Maximum respect to you, Mrs Sanford.
